Job Context:
∎ Duty station: Dhaka with frequent travel to other programme areas (Khulna, Jashore, Benapole, Jhenaidah, Kushtia and Gazipur)
∎ Contract Duration: This is a fixed term position for 2 years.
∎ Expected Joining Date: As soon as possible latest by 1 January 2020
∎ Working Hours: Full time (minimum of 40 hours per week)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Advisory services:
∎
∎ Develop and oversee execution of an effective M&E plan for the project.
∎ Manage, analyse and inform/report to the team about the Monitoring system under USHHD approach and the result frameworks under each project. Including regular monitoring of the status of the project comparing with baseline data and expected targets.
∎ Preparation of yearly reports to donors, SNV and others, and final reports.
∎ Contribution for the preparation of outcome assessment reports developed by SNV.
∎ Lead and revise the Monitoring Surveys to be conducted by consultants or SNV.
∎ Facilitate reflection session with component advisors of the project team and document lessons learnt.
∎ Design and conduct necessary studies.
∎ Collection of regular field data and reporting.
∎ Manage all monitoring data of the programme in a proper way to be accessible and understandable and easy to extract for reporting.
∎ Manage GIS data for the cities and provide required data to team members or consultants in demand bases, and able to make some analysis.
∎ Any other M&E activity required by the project.
∎ Knowledge Management

∎ Support in conduct training, seminars and workshops as applicable.
∎ Contribute to the SNV WASH knowledge activities;
∎ Lead the development of the Scholarship Programme in Khulna, with required visits to Khulna city.
∎ Provide data and information for communication materials, infographics, papers, research, etc.
∎ Take part in local, national and regional events as appropriate;
∎ Coordination & Component Management
∎
∎ Ensure performance of the component, corresponding to plans and targets;
∎ Ensure implementation of SNV's monitoring for results framework;
∎ Coach, guide and backstop project teams in implementation;
∎ Facilitate and coordinate interaction with other sector stakeholders;
∎ Support content development for external communications.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience in working in WASH or FSM sector is strongly preferred.
∎ General working experience of at least 10 years.
∎ Extensive experience working with Bangladeshi Local Governance Institutions (City Corporations and Paurashavas) and other Government Institutions (Schools, Heath, District Level, etc.).
∎ Experience on managing data management or monitoring tools will be an added value, like AkvoFlow, GIS software, SPSS, etc.
∎ Flexibility to handle varied and demanding tasks and ability to balance priorities, thrive under pressure and juggle a multitude of details in a fast-paced environment.
∎ Ability to work independently, as well as member of a team, and to be flexible to
∎ accommodate the needs of stakeholders.
∎ Ability to lead the assignment and the team with remote supervision.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Bangla.
Salary:
∎ The total salary package (basic salary + all benefits) will range between BDT 147,178 and BDT 167,825 per month, depending on the selected candidate`s work experience.
