Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science & Engineering
Experience Requirements:
∎ 2 to 3 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Analyzing the ML algorithms that could be used to solve a given problem and ranking them by their success probability.
∎ Selecting and integrating any Big Data tools and frameworks required to provide requested capabilities.
∎ Turning unstructured data into useful information by auto-tagging images and text-to-speech conversions.
∎ Solving complex problems with multi-layered data sets, as well as optimizing existing machine learning libraries and frameworks.
∎ Exploring and visualizing data to gain an understanding of it, then identifying differences in data distribution that could affect performance when deploying the model in the real world.
∎ Verifying data quality, and/or ensuring it via data cleaning.
∎ Supervising the data acquisition process if more data is needed.
∎ Finding available datasets online that could be used for training.
∎ Analyzing the errors of the model and designing strategies to overcome them.
∎ Deploying models to production.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least two years' experience as a machine learning engineer.
∎ Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles.
∎ Management of Hadoop cluster, with all included services.
∎ Proficiency with Hadoop v2, MapReduce, HDFS.
∎ Advanced proficiency with Python, Java, and R code writing.
∎ Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources.
∎ Good understanding and strong knowledge in algorithms and statistics.
∎ Extensive knowledge of ML frameworks, libraries, data structures, data modeling, and software architecture.
∎ In-depth knowledge of mathematics, statistics, and algorithms.
∎ Knowledge on basics of math and probability.
∎ Superb analytical and problem-solving abilities.
∎ Implementing ETL process.
∎ Defining data retention policies.
∎ Designing machine learning programs.
∎ Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages.
∎ Proficient of code versioning tools, such as Git.
