Good knowledge of microbiological testing procedures and laboratory practices
Familiarity with laboratory quality assurance and infection control protocols
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Computer literacy is required
Responsibilities & Context:
Perform microbiological analysis of patient samples including blood, urine, sputum, stool, and other specimens
Conduct culture, sensitivity, staining, and biochemical tests accurately
Operate and maintain microbiology laboratory equipment and instruments
Ensure proper documentation, quality control, and compliance with laboratory SOPs
Prepare culture media, reagents, and maintain microbial stock/culture
Monitor infection control and biosafety protocols in the laboratory
Prepare and verify laboratory reports within the turnaround time
Coordinate with consultants, pathologists, and other medical professionals when required
Maintain cleanliness, calibration, and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment
Any other responsibilities assigned by the management
