Additional Requirements:
- Age At least 30 years
3–6 years’ experience in fabric and sample development knit Garments.
Strong knowledge of fabric construction, dyeing, finishing, and garment sample processes.
Excellent communication and follow-up skills.Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and ERP systems.
Responsibilities & Context:
- Understand buyer’s fabric requirements and seasonal trends.
- Source and develop new fabrics in coordination with mills and suppliers (local and overseas).
- Collect and review fabric specifications — construction, GSM, composition, color, and finish.
- Follow up on lab dips, strike-offs, and bulk fabric approvals.
- Maintain and update fabric library and supplier database.
- Evaluate test reports to ensure fabric meets buyer’s quality and performance standards.
- Coordinate sample development based on buyer tech packs and design briefs.
- Work with design, pattern, and production teams for prototype, fit, and photo samples.
- Ensure correct fabric, trims, and accessories are used in sampling.
- Track sample development T&A (Time and Action Plan) to meet buyer submission deadlines.
- Follow up with buyers for sample comments, approvals, and revisions.
- Communicate fabric technical details (shrinkage, GSM, fastness, finishing) with the production and QA teams.
- Resolve any technical issues in fabric or sample stage before bulk production.
- Coordinate with testing labs for physical and chemical test approvals.
