Experience:
Able to work independently to provide all radiological and imaging related support.
Ability to work under pressure.
Deep familiarity with CT scan equipment Must be able to work with Digital X-Ray & multi-slice CT-Scan.
Able to learn new technique and technologies.
Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues with CT scan equipment performance.
Computer skills to operate CT scan equipment use e-mail and update medical records using health -information systems software.
Must be able to interact with client personnel, professional and ethical manner.
Must be able to produce very high quality special imaging with little supervision.
Must be willing and able to assist the Radiologist in his/her interpretation of exams.
Must be able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Must be flexible, reliable and demonstrate sound judgment and initiative.
Ability to lift a minimum of 60 pounds as well as assist with patient maneuvering.
Able to demonstrate competency in all applicable areas.
Explaining what will happen during the CT scan to patients.
Positioning patients properly to take the necessary images.
Examining images to ensure they’re usable.
Updating patient medical information.
Cleaning and maintaining CT scan equipment.
Keeping inventory of CT scan supplies and making orders for supply restocks as required.
Assess patients and their clinical requirements to work out which radiographic techniques to use.
Perform a range of radiographic examinations on patients to produce high-quality images.
Take responsibility for radiation safety in your work area, including checking equipment for malfunctions and errors.
Manage referrals to ensure patients receive a radiation dose as low as reasonably possible.
Supervise visiting staff and patients in radiation work areas.
Help in more complex radiological examinations, working with doctors such as radiologists and surgeons.
Supervise radiography and imaging support assistants.
Keep up to date with health and safety guidelines, including ionizing radiation regulations, to protect yourself and others.
