Educational Requirements:
∎ Completed advance degree from an accredited academic institution in Medicine as a Medical Doctor.

Experience Requirements:
∎ 3 to 5 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Provide Primary Care Services as follows:
∎ Medical services ( assessment and diagnosis, treatment and referral as necessary
∎ Assessment of the presenting problems through history taking, examination and investigation.
∎ Recommending and, where appropriate, undertaking treatment options and carrying out/referring for appropriate interventions and procedures, including but not limited to prescribing, counselling, psychological interventions, advising and education.
∎ Referral for diagnostic, therapeutic and support services as required.

∎ 2.Provide timely clinical and culturally appropriate health services through -
∎ Ongoing health and development assessment and advice.
∎ Appropriate evidence based screening, risk assessment and early detection of illness, disease and disability.
∎ Working with public health providers in the prevention and control of communicable diseases for individuals and families..

∎ 3. Improve patient health through -
∎ Health promotion to the practices' enrolled population, linking to public health programmes at a national, regional and local level and utilizing such programmes to target specific populations.
∎ Health education, counselling and information provision about how to improve health and prevent disease and interventions or treatments that treat risk factors.
∎ Clinical Notes: All patient consultations must be accurately recorded in the clinical patient notes within 24 hours of seeing the patient.

∎ 4.Health & Safety: Comply with established health and safety policies with regard to handling of instruments, storage of drugs and disposal of sharps and other potentially dangerous equipment and substances. Comply with current NZ legislation.
∎ 5. IPC Management
∎ Provide training on IPC, donning and doffing of PPE items.
∎ Monitor triage, early recognition and source control
∎ Supervise instrument processing
∎ Monitor waste management in the hospital

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ 3 - 5 years of experience for candidates holding a first level university degree
∎ Experience in health related programs
∎ Knowledge and experience with working in the field, public health sector and in medical emergencies. Experience with refugee health will be an added advantage.
∎ Ability to work effectively under pressure in hardship situations and harmoniously within a team of colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.
∎ Previous experience in development project at an international organization is an advantage.
∎ Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
∎ OBGYN specialty is preferred: female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Mobile bill, Medical allowance, Weekly 2 holidays
∎ Salary Review: Yearly
∎ Two festival bonuses in a year equivalent to one basic salary.
∎ Severance (8.33% of the monthly basic salary) goes with the monthly release of the salary.
