Responsibilities & Context:
- Conduct OPD examinations, diagnose primary eye conditions, and manage common ocular diseases.
- Perform pre-operative evaluations and provide post-operative care according to clinical protocols.
- Attend and provide medical support in community eye camps, school screenings, and outreach programs.
- Assist Ophthalmologist in surgery preparation and patient counseling during camps and hospital services.
- Identify and refer complicated cases to the base hospital or higher-level care.
- Maintain accurate documentation, prescriptions, follow-up records, and MIS entries.
- Ensure infection control, patient safety, and adherence to hospital quality standards.
- Counsel patients on diagnosis, treatment plans, medication adherence, and preventive eye care.
- Coordinate closely with Optometrists, Nurses, and MLOPs to ensure smooth service delivery in OPD, OT, and camps.
