Experience:

• 2 to 5 years

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)

Postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology: DO / DCO / FCPS (Ophthalmology) / MS (Ophthalmology) — any one is required.

Valid license with BMDC

• 2 to 5 years

• Age At least 25 years

Sound clinical knowledge of ophthalmic diseases, refraction and comprehensive eye examination.·        

Hands-on surgical competency in SICS / Phaco is preferred; candidates without current surgical proficiency will be considered for structured training·        

Willingness and commitment to work in a community setting, including outreach camps in rural and semi-urban areas.        

Good interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills; ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.  

Commitment to patient-centered, ethical and compassionate care in line with GHS's social business philosophy    

·        Provide outpatient consultation, diagnosis and treatment for general and specialized eye conditions at the assigned hospital.

·         Perform cataract surgery, including Small Incision Cataract Surgery (SICS) and Phacoemulsification, along with other ophthalmic surgical procedures as per privileging.

·         Plan and conduct pre-operative assessment, surgical counseling and post-operative follow-up care for patients.

·         Participate in and lead community outreach programs, eye screening camps and school eye health/vision screening activities within the catchment area.

·         Support health education and awareness activities to promote early detection and prevention of avoidable blindness in the community.

·         Perform other duties assigned by the Hospital Director/Management as needed.
