Have adequate knowledge of labor act & rules as well as related compliance standards.

Job Context
Ambala Foundation a non-profit and non-political organization which MRA License no: 00350-01308-00086, has been working in Bangladesh since 1994 with over one million people, their families and communities at the grass root to national level in the field of microfinance, human rights, governance, health, education, income generation, environment, women and children development, cross cultural communication etc. For staff wellbeing a dedicated and energetic professional medical Assistant needed at HR & Admin team at Ambala Foundation Head Office.
Responsibilities:
Offer first aid and basic treatment for minor illnesses and injuries (e.g., fever, headaches, cuts, bruises) of staffs.
Respond promptly to medical emergencies such as fainting, accidents, or sudden illness, and coordinate hospital referrals when necessary.
Regularly check and maintain employee health records, including blood pressure, blood sugar levels, weight, etc.
Offer basic health advice to employees regarding nutrition, sleep, stress management, and general well-being.
Maintain a well-stocked first aid kit and essential medical supplies; ensure timely replenishment.
Coordinate periodic health camps such as blood grouping, vaccination drives, eye/dental check-ups, etc.
Ensure hygienic practices in office premises, monitor drinking water quality and canteen hygiene to prevent disease outbreaks.
Prepare monthly reports on employee health incidents and share insights with the management.
Ensure the implementation of health protocols during outbreaks (e.g., COVID-19, Dengue, Malaria, dysentery etc) including temperature checks, sanitization, and awareness campaigns.
Assist HR in verifying health-related leave requests and provide necessary health documentation as required.
