∎ To supervise and manage `Farmer`s Market` at the field, we are looking for experienced and skilled Market Supervisors to join our team in Teknaf.
∎ Under supervision and guidance of the Project Manager, `Market Supervisors` will be responsible for organizing, supervising and supporting the farmers market project to run smoothly and effectively in line with the project goal.
∎ Working Conditions:
∎ Working days from Sunday to Thursday with 40 hours per week. This position may be required to work some extra hours
∎ Yearly renewable contract based on fund availability and performance.
∎ Have to follow ICCO HR, Admin and Finance related policy.
∎ Duration of contract till December 2020 with possibilities of extension depending on fund availability

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overall Responsibilities:
∎ The role of the Market Supervisor is to organize market hubs for the farmers market, monitor market prices of the fresh food items regularly, assist the vendors and farmers to sell their products to the Rohingya beneficiaries and liaison and coordination with local authorities and stakeholders.
∎ Key Responsibilities:
∎ Stakeholder consultation and community level mobilisation in informing the Rohingya beneficiaries about market prices of food items
∎ Markets visit, price monitoring chart development and beneficiary communication
∎ Problem identification in the market and take initiative to solve the problems.
∎ Assist to Project Manager in preparing project reports.
∎ Assist M&E officer in collecting data from the markets
∎ Attend meetings/ events organized externally and represent the project and ICCO properly
∎ Prepare and submit plan, report weekly/ monthly as required
∎ The duties and responsibilities may change as per requirements.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 5 years experience in market-based interventions/ livelihoods/ agriculture
∎ Have experience/ ideas about assemble market/ farm-gate market/ supermarket
∎ Work experience in emergency response project/ Rohingya camps preferred
∎ Must be able to understand and speak the local Chittagong language
∎ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, good team player
∎ Willingness to work in any union in Teknaf/Ukhiya Upazilas.
∎ Punctual and good at time management and strong relationship building skills
∎ Understanding of protection issues facing our beneficiaries
∎ An affinity with low-income consumers and producers
∎ Good verbal and written communication skills in Bengali
∎ Willingness to drive motorcycle with valid license will be an added value for the position
