Job Context:
∎ The Promotion of Market Linkages in Local Community Project aims to continue to strengthen and localize fresh food supply chain through the development of a unique value-based market system, by linking WFP-contracted retailers to producers in the Cox’s Bazar district. The hereby proposed project intervention aims to:
∎ *Improve dietary diversity amongst the most vulnerable refugee households via direct access to fresh food items including eggs, live fish and chicken.
∎ *Improve market linkages between refugees and host communities.
∎ The overall responsibility for this position is to establish smooth and effective Fresh Food Supply Chain from Aggregation Centers to FFC Retailers including but not limited to- FF supply chain assessment, ensure weekly product mapping and share with Retailers, weekly price collection, facilitate price negotiation between ACMCs and Retailers, ensure purchase order from Retailers and timely delivery of FF products to retailers. S/he prepares daily transaction plan and report and ensure payment to farmers from the retailers. S/he will ensure FF transaction records both at ACMC and Office level.
∎ This position will assist in project planning, budget preparation, training & workshops facilitation; preparing all reports and documents properly in time and all other required activities to ensure smooth operations of the project. Also, support to the Assistant Market Linkage Officer for weekly market price collection and data input to the Kobo/excel software and market assessment/survey activities.
∎ The MLO will closely work with the ACMC and FFC retailers by establishing appropriate linkage & networks, and fulfill the monthly target fresh food supply to the FFC retails points successfully.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Day to Day follow up of fresh foods product mapping activities and regular sharing & update with FFC retailers point-person/manager for day to day transaction plan.
∎ Ensure fresh produces supply/transaction as per plan and prepare daily transaction report.
∎ Collect regular basis local markets supply and demand situation and analysis/mapping.
∎ Build capacity to the assistant market linkage officer, community mobilizers for ACMC and support producers’ groups to work under/with AC.
∎ Orient targeted producer groups and ACs on Farm to Go application and use it properly.
∎ Identify and establish linkages with ACs and producer groups as well as target transaction to FFC.
∎ Functional market management committee, ACMC and BMO.
∎ Visit AC and Producer groups and ensure coaching, mentoring support to increase production and sales; additionally, organize and facilitate monthly meeting.
∎ Strengthen relationship with other partners.
∎ Support for Planning, motoring & budgeting as per project design.
∎ Contribute to reporting to WVB management and donor/s as per requirements.
∎ Capacity building initiative for field assistant and ACMC.
∎ Performs other duties as may be assigned by the WVB management.
∎ Ensure a yearly budget, detailed implementation plan (DIP), and operational guidelines are in place, that will reflect the Market Linkage Officer's responsibilities.
∎ Accomplish 100% annual plan of the program in the assigned working filed.
∎ Ensure regular program activities are implemented, monitored and supervised as per DIP.
∎ Provide feedback and follow up and initiative to adjust.
∎ Conduct Product mapping plan and sharing in weekly basis with FFC.
∎ Ensure actual transaction and payment in timely manner.
∎ Perform responsibilities on Capacity Building of Aggregation Center Management Committees (ACMC), Producer group members, and other support staff Members.
∎ Perform tasks to maintain Linkages and Networking with ACMC and FFC.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ Must have knowledge and skills of project implementation.
∎ Ability to drive motorbike with valid driving license.
∎ Ability to work in different target groups.
∎ Oral and written communication skills in English and Bengali.
∎ Ability to work in a team.
∎ Work under pressure and can take additional responsibilities.
∎ Basic computer literacy using of Microsoft Office Microsoft Word, Excel & MS Power Point.
∎ 2+ years of work experience with Aggregation Centers/ Collection Centers will be an asset.
∎ Partners support working experience.
∎ People management experience.
∎ Able to create a working environment where team members have equal rights to listen, speak up and contribute to achieve a common goal of the project.
∎ Must stay in the project working area and 100% fieldwork is expected. Ready to accept the challenges and cope with the changes.
