Job Context:
∎ Purpose of the role is to effectively plan, deploy and coordinate resources in the field for gathering market intelligence and producing high quality reports as per project briefs from clients.
∎ The Market Intelligence Manager will gather, analyze and distribute intelligence on products, market conditions, competitors and customers for business decision-making. He/she will oversee a team of market researchers, field supervisors, information analysts and other employees in the department when there are many pending research activities, as he/ she must divide the employees into teams and allocate tasks to each.
∎ The Market Intelligence Manager develops innovative solutions for complex problems, provides actionable recommendations, makes client presentations / reports and ensures compliance with relevant regulations. He / she must ensure intelligence-gathering activities meet legal requirements, company policies and professional ethics.
∎ Strong mathematics and analytical skills are crucial for being successful in the role. He / she must be very organized, meticulous in planning and coordinating large number of people on ground to keep them focused on gathering targeted actionable data.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Efficient resource planning to achieve program / project objectives within timeline
∎ Resource deployment and coordination to collect and collate business / market data in alignment of program / project objectives
∎ Ensure delivery of project objectives by effectively managing resources
∎ Analyze / interpret data in line of program / project objective
∎ Gather and evaluate relevant market and competitor information to review market position and determine threats
∎ Write high quality business reports for clients
∎ Manage intelligence specialists, develop client relations and coordinate regional projects
∎ Identify events out of the ordinary by analyzing market data
∎ Offer external view and market insights to assist client's activity planning
∎ Conduct ad hoc analysis to get market insights
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ Experience Expected:
∎ 5 years in FMCG sales and / or marketing or market research
∎ Experience in FMCG commercial panning will be and added advantage
∎ Experience in business data analysis/ value chain analysis will be given preference
∎ Stakeholder management
∎ Client relationship management
∎ Effective communication with different levels of people / stakeholders
∎ Overall market trend analysis from aggregated data / information from regional projects
∎ Analytical / business interpretation of market data
∎ Business report writing / presenting in English
∎ Business / market intelligence gathering from various sources
∎ Leadership skills for keeping team focused on objectives
∎ Resource planning
∎ FMCG industry sales / supply chain / market research qualification will be added advantage
∎ Fair understanding on supply chain management
∎ Proven capability of strong analytical skills to turn data into actionable information
∎ High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Power Point) and internet tools
