Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting
∎ CACC preferred.
∎ Income Tax Practitioner Certificate, Training on VAT management will be considered as an advantage.
∎ Preferred Professional Certification: VAT,ITP
∎ Skills Required: VAT Tax Management

∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Act as Head of VAT & Tax department of the company.
∎ Overall monitoring and coordination of VAT and Tax related activities to comply with government Acts, Rules, and regulations.
∎ Ensure all regulatory compliance relating to the Company Act, Income Tax, Corporate Tax, Personal Tax, Tax Return, VAT, etc.
∎ Prepare and maintain all VAT & Tax returns and related issues (e.g. hearing to appeal, tribunal for assessment) of the company.
∎ Calculation and deduction of VAT & Tax at source, deposit to the govt. treasury and issuance of the certificate accordingly.
∎ Reconciliation of VAT and Tax and adjustment of VDS, TDS, and AIT as and when required.
∎ Preparing & submitting monthly VAT return (9.1), Monthly Withholding TDS return, and Yearly Employee TDS Return within the designated timeline;
∎ Ensuring proper compliance as per ITA-2023 & VAT and Supplementary Duties Act 2012.
∎ Ensuring the use of applicable Mushak in all aspects of company operations.
∎ Liaise with all regulatory authorities i.e. VAT and Tax Circle/Divisional Office, NBR to solve Company VAT and tax-related issues.
∎ Collaborate with the Finance & Accounts team to provide necessary information.
∎ Maintain and preserve all records of Tax & VAT documents for future reference.
∎ Identifying areas where the company and business can reduce tax, make claims, and increase profit.
∎ Manage and facilitate Govt. Tax & VAT audits: preparing the response, and creating schedules as and when required.
∎ Prepare & compile necessary documents for filing the company's tax return, withholding tax return & other necessary tax returns.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ Good knowledge of Bangladesh VAT laws and practice
∎ Experience in Appeal, Tribunal, Hearing
∎ Strong written and oral communication skills
∎ Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills
∎ Ability to take on multiple assignments.
