Experience

• 4–5 years’ experience in R&D, product development, or technical roles in button/accessories manufacturing (preferred).

Skills

• Strong understanding of button materials and manufacturing processes (injection molding, compression molding, electroplating, laser engraving, painting, etc.).

• Knowledge of garment accessory standards and buyer compliance.

• Ability to analyze samples, materials, and technical requirements.

• Good documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.

Job Location: Factory-based (Garments Accessories Manufacturing Unit)

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development & Innovation

• Develop new button designs (All Kinds of metal item, etc.) and improve existing products.

• Research global trends, materials, technologies, and market demand for garment accessories.

• Create prototypes, technical sheets, and product samples according to customer specifications.

• Work with suppliers to source new raw materials and innovative components.

Sample Creation & Approval

• Coordinate with merchandising teams to understand buyer requirements.

• Prepare development samples, master samples, and pre-production samples (PPS).

• Ensure samples meet functional, aesthetic, and quality standards.

• Maintain sample libraries and development records.

Material & Technical Analysis

• Evaluate raw materials for durability, colorfastness, strength, and overall performance.

• Conduct feasibility studies for new materials, molds, dyes, and manufacturing processes.

• Optimize material usage and recommend cost-efficient alternatives.

Process Development & Improvement

• Work with the production team to validate new processes and improve efficiency.

• Develop SOPs for new items and ensure seamless handover to production.

• Conduct trial runs and monitor results for mass production readiness.

Quality Assurance Support

• Assist the QA team in setting product standards, testing parameters, and inspection guidelines. Develop ISO 9001:2015 all over the factory.

• Identify defects, troubleshoot technical issues, and propose corrective actions.

• Ensure compliance with buyer requirements, environmental standards, and chemical safety norms (ZDHC, OEKO-TEX, etc.).

Costing & Technical Documentation

• Prepare product costing sheets, material consumption, and technical specifications.

• Maintain detailed development records, test reports, and revision histories.

• Support merchandising with pricing, technical clarifications, and feasibility confirmation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with merchandising, production, QA, and procurement teams.

• Meet with customers, buyers, and auditors to present developments and innovations.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and factory innovation projects.
