Job Context:
∎ We are looking for a knowledgeable Accounting Manager/ Sr. Manager who can lead and motivate accounting staff members and increase department accuracy and efficiency. The Accounting Manager will delegate, supervise, and participate in accounting department tasks, oversee the recording, tracking, and reporting of financial information, hire, train, and motivate accounting staff members, develop and implement department controls and procedures, and ensure that the department operates efficiently without sacrificing accuracy.
∎ To succeed as an Accounting Manager/ Sr. Manager, you should be analytical, detail-oriented, and honest. The ideal Accounting Manager should possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills as well as a strong understanding of accounting and management principles and financial legislation.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Budgeting, Forecasting, Cost & Credit Control, Margin Analysis, Costing & Profitability Analysis and Management Reporting
∎ Preparation and submission of applications to Financial Institutions for financial assistance in form of Term Loans, Short Term Deposits and timely follow up for necessary sanctions, documentations and disbursements
∎ Surplus Fund Management in terms of placement of inter-corporate deposits to Corporate
∎ Preparation and appraisal of working capital proposal, Fixing up arrangements of working capital
∎ Bill Discounting and L/C backed Bill discounting at competitive interest rates
∎ Arranging Letters of Credit and Bank Guarantee
∎ Finalization of accounts, divisional & branch accounting
∎ Attending statutory auditors, internal auditors
∎ Stores/ Materials accounting
∎ Tax audit details preparation,Computerized accounting,Debtors management and credit control
∎ Oversee Filing of returns and attending tax authorities for assessments and appeals
∎ Look after monthly and yearly return submission, hearing and assessment finalization VAT & TAX authority
∎ Monitor deduction of Tax at source and deposit them to the government treasure on time.
∎ Oversee and coordinate the Accounts, Internal Audit department on preparation of Accounts Reports considering Tax & VAT.
∎ Oversee Tax & VAT audit reports and handle professional Tax & VAT authorities individually. Monitor and analyses accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
∎ Responsible for efficient operation of Tax & VAT related accounting activities of the Organization.
∎ Advising on Tax & VAT planning (within current legislation to enable them to minimize the Tax liability).
∎ Costing - product and process
∎ Budget preparation and Budgetary controls
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 50 years
