Responsibilities & Context: Job Location: Gazipur, Bangladesh Age: 30-45 Years Experience: Minimum 8-12 Years Job Purpose: Responsible for planning, managing and controlling day-to-day knit garment production to achieve shipment targets, quality standards, productivity, efficiency and cost objectives. The position will lead production teams and coordinate closely with PPC, IE, Quality, Knitting, Dyeing, Finishing, Cutting and other relevant departments to ensure smooth order execution. Key Responsibilities: Plan and monitor daily, weekly and monthly knit production against shipment and capacity requirements. Ensure production plans are translated into effective line loading, manpower deployment, machine utilization and workflow. Drive achievement of production targets, line efficiency, productivity and on-time delivery. Monitor production bottlenecks, WIP, absenteeism, downtime and line performance; take timely corrective action. Coordinate with PPC, IE, QA/QC, Cutting, Finishing, Maintenance and other departments for uninterrupted production flow. Ensure production is executed according to approved buyer specifications, tech packs, samples, quality standards and production methods. Lead production supervisors, line chiefs and operators; coach teams and strengthen performance discipline. Review hourly/daily production reports, efficiency data, rejection/rework and downtime, and implement improvement actions. Control overtime, manpower and production-related operating costs while maintaining required output and quality. Ensure compliance with factory policies, buyer requirements, safety procedures and applicable social/compliance standards. Participate in capacity planning, style changeover planning, new style/product implementation and continuous improvement initiatives. Prepare regular production performance reports for management and recommend actions to improve productivity and delivery. Candidate Profile / Requirements: Minimum 8-12 years of relevant experience in knit garment manufacturing, preferably in a reputed export-oriented composite/RMG factory; suitable candidates for Senior Manager level should have strong managerial exposure. Strong knowledge of knit garments, production processes, line balancing, production planning, quality control and productivity improvement. Practical understanding of sewing machines, production methods, SMV, efficiency, capacity utilization and WIP control. Strong leadership, team-management, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Ability to work under pressure and manage production priorities against tight shipment schedules. Good command of production reporting, MS Office/ERP or factory production systems. Experience with international buyer requirements and export-oriented factory operations will be preferred.
