Job Responsibilities:
∎ Strategic-
∎ To be the key driver of the organization and set processes and procedures that provide required direction, guidance and support to entire Sales Function.
∎ To ensure that sales & marketing agenda is at place, sales targets are set & accomplished, new products to market are developed, existing products are enhanced, overseas partners' base are strengthened, constant cultural change to enhance productivity are brought into and sales figures are executed.
∎ While executing the job the incumbent devises sales & product centric strategies, plans & implements country revenue targets, ensures key account development & management, provides direction for product development, resolves queries or issues or escalations of the department, selects & develops sales team members.
∎ Devise the marketing plan for business growth, creation of DGL brand identity.
∎ Identify strategically important business locations and do a feasibility study of setting up
∎ DGL representations.
∎ Submit feasibility reports for new SBUS with SWOT analysis
∎ Strategic approach of building up a corporate client base for DGL
∎ Setting Business objectives for country/location to align with Corporate objectives
∎ Drive for a succession plan/groom the right talents for next level.
∎ Managerial-
∎ Enhance sales processes to review and understand the business needs, analyze its & negative implications, generate alternative solutions and execute action plans on regular intervals.
∎ Maintaining a business relationship with the existing customers to explore possibilities of scaling up the business, monitoring & controlling cost of operations.
∎ Review and monitor sales activities to analyze the cause of deviations and non-compliance and come up with required solutions & corrective action.
∎ Ensure the effective execution of responsibilities to analyze the organizational requirements, plan and devise guidelines for operations in sync with HQ.
∎ Frequent interaction with managers, employees, customers, functional heads, overseas agents and vendors for ensuring a hassle free service/operation.
∎ Ensure effective execution of the job responsibility in consultation with CEO and seeks
∎ Selection & Recruitment of good talents in the Industry whilst retaining the existing talents in the company.
∎ In general you are supposed to act as a role model for all colleagues whilst on duty adhering and meeting strict deadlines of your work, punctuality, grooming and other Company rules and regulations served to you in the Employee Hand book.
∎ Operational-
∎ Monitors sales performance on periodic basis. Overall day to day basis review the progress of sales function in terms of people, facts & figures, branches, process procedures.
∎ Manage general administration on day to day basis. Responsible for achieving sales targets and overall P&L.
∎ Frequent review of the P&L with the Country MD/ superior for any deviations
∎ Ensure hassle free smooth operations both air & sea freight forwarding Plan for movement of the shipment/cargo and ensure the execution is carried out as per the plan.
∎ Maintain a healthy business rapport with the customer and to focus on their requirements.
∎ Monitor and control the cash flow resulting for the services provided by the branch and explore e possibilities of cutting costs to optimize profits.
∎ Routine interaction with the in-house Finance Dept., to determine the credit worthiness of the customer.
∎ Interaction with the customs and different certifying agencies for getting clearance for different consignments.
∎ Monitor and control cost of operations to maintain certain margin of profits.
∎ Focusing of Employee needs and routine engagement with the team members.
∎ Building up a good professional network with industry people.
∎ Retention of team members of the SBU by providing a conducive working environment for all to perform their tasks.
∎ Responsible for implementing SOPs (Standard Operating procedures) for all operational areas for trouble free operation.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ 8-10 years' experience in solid freight forwarding.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Air Freight, freight forwarding sales, Freight Forwarding/ C&F, International/ Export Marketing, Sea Freight
