• Textile Engineering / Apparel Manufacturing preferred

• Technical knowledge of outerwear construction

• Communication with buyers

1. Quality Planning & Standards

• Develop and implement quality standards for outerwear products

• Review tech packs, specs, and buyer requirements

• Set inspection criteria (AQL standards) for jackets

2. Sample Evaluation

• Approve PP samples, size sets, and pre-production samples

• Identify construction risks (padding, seam sealing, waterproofing, etc.)

• Ensure correct fit, measurement, and workmanship

3. Inline & End-line Inspection

• Monitor inline production quality

• Conduct end-line inspection before final audit

• Ensure critical operations (quilting, down filling, seam taping) meet standards

4. Final Inspection & Shipment Approval

• Lead final inspections based on AQL

• Approve or reject shipments based on quality results

• Coordinate with buyers/third-party inspectors

5. Technical & Process Control

• Ensure correct use of materials (fabric, insulation, trims)

• Monitor special processes:

  • Down/feather filling

  • Water resistance / waterproof testing

  • Heat sealing / seam taping

• Implement SOPs for outerwear production

6. Team Management

• Lead QA/QC team (inspectors, line checkers)

• Train team on outerwear-specific quality points

• Assign inspection plans and monitor performance

7. Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis

• Analyze defects (e.g., leakage, uneven padding, seam puckering)

• Implement CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions)

• Work closely with production, IE, and merchandising teams

8. Compliance & Buyer Requirements

• Ensure compliance with buyer standards (e.g., stitching, labeling, safety)

• Handle audits (buyer/third-party)

• Maintain documentation and reports
