∎ ICCO is looking for Manager-Enterprise Promotion and Private Sector Engagement to provide strategic guidance to design, implement and advocate for interventions around Inclusive Value Chains and Business Development, Entrepreneurship Development, Financial Inclusion, Women`s Economic Empowerment, Market Systems Promotion and Engagement with the Private Sector.
∎ She/he will serve as the focal point for market development, enterprise development, private sector engagement and access to finance by remaining well-informed about emerging best practices, current issues and trends in assigned program and regional areas; is also responsible for the capacity building of project staff, budget monitoring and over all implementation, fundraising and contribution to proposal development of ICCO Bangladesh.
∎ Working Conditions:
∎ Working days from Sunday to Thursday 40 hours per week. This position may be required to work some overtime hours.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
∎ Yearly renewable contract based on fund availability and performance.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsibility # 1: Contribute to Enterprise Promotion and Private Sector (PS) Engagement
∎ Develop the Private Sector Engagement Strategy with focus to enterprise promotion, blending finance and financial inclusion.
∎ Collaborate with ongoing programming and provide technical guidance to strengthen emerging and potential private sector engagement, entrepreneurship development.
∎ Explore partnership and investment opportunities from donors and especially private sector to strengthen Business Development, Youth Entrepreneurship Development, Women's Economic Empowerment, and Market Systems.
∎ Develop concept notes and proposals in coordination with and team members
∎ Responsibility # 2: Collaboration and networking with PS partners and representation
∎ Lead development of communication strategy to engage with current and potential private sector partners, and communicate and maintain liaison with them.
∎ Streamline current repository of private sector partners to ensure more strategic and impactful engagement.
∎ Play a critical role to bring private sector related intelligence and provide strategic guidance to various ongoing programs.
∎ Represent ICCO on key dialogues, platforms, forums, discussions, conferences, etc organized by private sector, as well as other development organizations (including key donors and academic groups).
∎ Responsibility # 3: Provide Conceptual Clarity for Business Model Development, Agri Value Chain Development and Entrepreneurship Promotion.
∎ Promote conceptual clarity around Private Sector Engagement, Market Systems, Value Chain and Social Enterprise in collaboration with respective program and fundraising teams.
∎ Contribute to a better understanding of social entrepreneurship
∎ Build internal capacity of staff, which will enable them to better understand best applicable approaches PSE.
∎ Responsibility # 4: Coordinate with implementing partners and ICCO staff to design, guidance and implantation.
∎ Design and implementation of market development (M4P) programs and diverse financial instruments.
∎ Provide strategic and technical support to implementing partners for qualitative support towards the target community.
∎ Assist to develop contract/MoUs with implementing partners and CSOs.
∎ Play a vital role in the design and redesign of project activities based on ICCO global office and donors' requirements.
∎ Responsibility # 5: Strengthening filed operation, monitoring and reporting.
∎ Scoping/Sectoral Research/Value Chain Analysis and Intervention/Program Perform primary and secondary market research, identification of constraints and opportunities, facilitation of Stakeholders Workshops, and formulation of intervention framework to identify new opportunities and engage with executives to establish strategies for pursuing those new opportunities.
∎ Develop detailed implementation plan (DIP) and budget.
∎ Review the progress and provide effective feedback to partners and others colleagues to ensure effectiveness of the project activity.
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual report of projects.
∎ Capture case studies and assist PNGOs in writing of case study & success stories.
∎ Responsibility # 6: Participate and contribute to the development of concepts and proposals for fundraising
∎ Liaise and collaborate with the Impact Investing team on the development of investment vehicles, business development, and capacity support services for the support of MSMEs in Bangladesh;
∎ With support from Program Team colleagues, manage all aspects of new proposal development and submission
∎ Manage grants to ensure that all internal and donor agency technical and reporting requirements are met;
∎ Provide technical assistance in specified areas and advice, training and tools to support project teams in overall resource mobilization, grant management, and quality control;
∎ Establish collegial, mutually beneficial relationships and share knowledge and expertise within the ICCO Foundation and Group B.V as well as strategic partners, if appropriate.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years' experience in the field of Agri-Value Chains and Business Development, Entrepreneurship Development, Financial Inclusion, Economic Empowerment, Market Systems.
∎ Experience in Innovative and new technology development (specially ICT based) will be added value for the position.
∎ Excellent analytical, interpersonal communication skills, problem solving skills, strong value based commitment to right based approach.
∎ Clarity on various aspects of private sector engagement
∎ Strategic thinking, decision making, managing and bringing results to the table
∎ Conceptualizing and co-creating new business development and investment opportunities
∎ Good computer skills in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint.
∎ Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Bangla, including ability to present coherent and convincing messages to different audiences.
∎ Good leadership ability to lead & motivate the subordinates
∎ Good business sense and professional & progressive attitude.
