Responsibilities & Context:

1. Supervision of Electrical & ELV Systems

  • Supervise and monitor the functioning of all lifts, nurse call systems, and hospital electrical systems.

  • Ensure proper operation, maintenance, repair, and improvement of:

    • Nurse Call System

    • Lift systems

    • Internal & external lighting

    • MDB, SDB, BBT

    • Isolation Panels

    • Medical Gas Pipeline (MGP) Alarm Panels

  • Supervise the duties of electrical operators and technicians.

  • Prepare, update, and ensure compliance with the Planned Maintenance System (PMS).

  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all relevant electrical and electronic equipment.

  • Conduct weekly afternoon Facility Management System (FMS) rounds as assigned and initiate corrective actions as required.

2. Shift In-Charge Responsibilities

  • Act as Shift In-Charge and provide first-line technical support for plant and utility-related issues.

  • Coordinate with concerned authorities and vendors during major faults or emergencies.

  • Regulate and supervise the activities of all subordinates during the assigned shift.

  • Address and respond to patient complaints related to electrical or facility issues as a representative of Facility Management.

3. Support to AGM/HOD – Training & Team Management

  • Assist the AGM/Head of Department in training, supervising, and managing Facility Management staff.

  • Identify indiscipline or non-compliance within the department and report to the AGM / HOD.

  • Track unresolved complaints from departments and coordinate with concerned personnel for resolution.

  • Coach and mentor plant operators and technicians to improve technical performance and safety compliance.

4. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare detailed shift handover reports highlighting pending issues for continuity.

  • Submit reports on completed maintenance, repair, and improvement activities.

  • Assist in the preparation of spare parts requisitions and regulate material flow in and out of the department.
