Responsibilities & Context:

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager with strong expertise in import, export, LC handling, customs documentation, and incentive withdrawal for the footwear industry.

The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of Bangladesh Bank regulations, customs processes, EPB documentation, Bond rules, HS codes, and international trade practices.

The role requires excellent coordination with banks, customs, shipping lines, freight forwarders, C&F agents, and internal production/merchandising teams, ensuring smooth commercial operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Export & Import Logistics:

  • Coordinate the entire lifecycle of export and import shipments, from documentation and freight forwarding to customs clearance and delivery.

  • Provide strategic oversight of all export and import documentation, including L/C, UP, EXP/IMP, Bill of Entry, Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, HAWB, Release Orders, and urgent shipments.

  • Ensure timely shipment scheduling, smooth customs clearance, and full regulatory compliance.

  • Guarantee accurate HS Code application and harmonized customs procedures.

  • Maintain strong coordination with C&F agents, LMFEAB, Customs, freight forwarders, shipping lines, buyers, suppliers, and banks.

  • Drive the timely realization of export proceeds and ensure proper closure of export files.

Banking & LC Handling:

  • Manage the full banking process for imports and exports, including LC opening, amendment, and negotiation, as well as handling import bills and other bank-related documentation.

  • Should be able to handle things like credit rating and other necessary things required by the bank.

  • Coordinate with banks for fund management, reimbursements, and related activities.

  • Maintain accurate records of import payments, EDF, FDBC, LDBC, and other banking transactions.

  • Oversee preparation of bank reconciliation statements and commercial summaries.

Bond Management:

  • Manage and renew bond licenses, utilization permissions, and maintain accurate bond registers.

  • Liaise with Customs and regulatory authorities to ensure uninterrupted operations.

  • Oversee preparation and submission of raw material release, wastage calculations, bond consumption, and utilization reports.

  • Ensure readiness for Customs/bond audits and lead resolution of audit queries.

Customs & Compliance:

  • Oversee all customs documentation, procedures, and interactions with regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance with national and international trade laws.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of all commercial activities, including cash incentives and export-related documents, and provide regular reports to management.

  • Ensure systematic maintenance of all commercial files with robust tracking and filing systems.

  • Provide commercial support during buyer audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance visits.

Incentive Management:

  • Need to have necessary access to Bangladesh Bank to realize Incentives at the soonest.

  • Prepare and process files for cash incentives withdrawal, coordinating with banks and relevant authorities like the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) and the Leather goods And Footwear Manufacturers & Exporters Association of Bangladesh (LMFEAB).

Liaison & Negotiation:

  • Serve as the primary liaison with banks, shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs officials, and other external stakeholders.

Process Optimization:

  • Identify and implement efficiencies in commercial processes to reduce costs, minimize delays, and improve overall supply chain performance.

  • Any Other tasks assign by management time to time.
