∎ Supervisor: Senior Manager - Agriculture Policy
∎ In coordination with another Manager - Agriculture Policy, and under the supervision of a Senior Manager - Agriculture Policy, this team will stay abreast of policy trends in the agricultural sector. S/he will implement activities, as directed by the Senior Manager, such that the Policy Activity can most effectively influence and strengthen policies and systems that directly contribute to the growth of the agricultural sector in Bangladesh.
∎ S/he will continually reinforce LINK`s agreed-upon core purpose and principles and approaches, and ensure all decision-making is rooted in the purpose and principles. S/he will contribute to a learning environment in which personal and team growth is supported, with a shared understanding that the "team" always comes before the "individual."

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support in the Identification of Policy Issues:
∎ Continually track emerging policy issues under priority policy pillars within the Agricultural sector
∎ Keeping abreast of relevant publications and reports to stay abreast of latest findings
∎ Keeping abreast of national discussions and actions taken that impact these policy pillars
∎ Collaboration:
∎ Follow-up and maintain effective relationships with selected national coalitions, relevant senior government counterparts, and leaders from the private-sector, academia/research, I/NGOs, UN, and broader civil society
∎ Attend national coalition meetings and constructively contribute to discussions
∎ Support national partner coalitions to effectively link, interact and network with other coalitions and institutions that are important in these policy areas
∎ Work with partner coalitions / organizations to implement activities as laid out in Action Plans
∎ Follow up with government counterparts as directed by the Senior Manager
∎ Capacity Development & Sensitization:
∎ Identify management and leadership capacity gaps within national partner coalitions, and in regional partner coalitions
∎ Support the conduction of trainings, on-the-job support, and any other tools, to build management and leadership capacity of these coalitions and their members, and government counterparts
∎ Support the conduction of sensitization workshops to raise awareness on existing policies within different policy pillars, for government and other key stakeholders
∎ Reporting:
∎ The Manager will report to the Senior Manager - Agriculture Policy.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in humanitarian development, specifically within the agricultural sector
∎ Demonstrable experience in developing partnerships with government counterparts and with the private-sector, academia/research partners, and with development agencies
∎ Demonstrable experience in working with experts and consultants
∎ Working on USAID projects will be an additional advantage
∎ Good communication and representational skills
∎ Strong coordination skills with peers and teams
∎ Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
∎ Ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines
∎ Good critical thinking to find solutions and ways forward in often complex environments
∎ Good English and excellent Bengali verbal and written communication skills
∎ Ability to work collegially and collaboratively with Policy Activity team, Policy LINK global team and external stakeholders
∎ Ability to communicate/collaborate effectively across cultures, including with team members based in other countries
∎ Always respectful of deadlines and milestones
∎ Proficient on standard Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint
