B.P.Ed) – Job Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct physical education classes according to the curriculum for different grade levels.
• Teach fundamental motor skills, sports techniques, and physical fitness activities to students.
• Promote physical health, fitness, and overall well-being, encouraging students to adopt healthy habits.
• Organize indoor and outdoor games, sports, and physical activities suitable for age and skill level.
• Ensure safety during all physical activities and maintain discipline on the field or in the gym.
• Assess students’ performance through practical tests, physical fitness evaluations, and skill development.
• Prepare lesson plans, progress reports, and records related to students’ physical development.
• Organize annual sports events, competitions, tournaments, and encourage student participation.
• Identify and train talented students for inter-school, district, state, or national-level sports competitions.
• Maintain sports equipment and ensure proper use and storage.
• Teach rules, strategies, and ethics of different sports and physical activities.
• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and fair play among students.
• Provide first aid in case of minor injuries during physical activities.
• Collaborate with school administration to develop a positive sports culture.
• Guide students about fitness, nutrition, and lifestyle choices to improve health.
