Experience:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT, ICT, Computer Science, CSE, or a relevant discipline from a reputed polytechnic institute or university, with excellent academic credentials.
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in a comparable technical role.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Sound knowledge of local network management, including operation without internet connectivity.
Strong organizational, administrative, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to learn and follow university policies, procedures, and office practices.
Self-motivated, hardworking, adaptable, and able to demonstrate initiative and creativity in resolving issues and improving processes.
Ability to work effectively with diverse colleagues, external stakeholders, and across departments and service areas.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
Provide general technical support to faculty and students in computer laboratories and assist during laboratory classes.
Maintain computers, peripherals, printers, projectors, and other IT equipment across the School of Life Sciences laboratories and departments.
Ensure computers are updated, configured, and equipped with appropriate antivirus, operating systems, software, and backups as required.
Monitor computer systems and downloaded files to help prevent malware, spyware, and other security threats.
Conduct regular inventory, maintenance, troubleshooting, and initial diagnosis of hardware and software issues, and coordinate specialized technical support when required.
Ensure proper lab setup, supervision, security, and operational readiness, including opening and closing laboratories according to work schedules.
Maintain records of equipment damage and malfunctions, provide administrative and technical support to departmental operations, and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
