·         Strong subject knowledge in Humanities and relevant social science disciplines.
·         Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, simple, and engaging manner.
·         Excellent classroom management, communication, presentation, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
·         Strong ability to develop students’ critical thinking, analytical reasoning, communication, research, and creative skills.
·         Ability to prepare students effectively for public examinations and competitive academic activities.
·         Experience in conducting or supervising debates, quizzes, social studies projects, cultural activities, exhibitions, and academic competitions will be an added advantage.
·         Strong moral values, discipline, integrity, and professional attitude.
·         Preference will be given to candidates having an Islamic mindset and values aligned with the ethos of the institution.
·         Willingness to work in a boys’ residential school environment and contribute to students’ overall academic, personal, and character development.

Under the Center for Zakat Management (CZM), The Crescent Academy is a dedicated boys’ residential school and college located in the serene surroundings of Manikganj. The institution is committed to providing quality education to students from underprivileged backgrounds.

We are looking for passionate, committed, and visionary Humanities Lecturers with strong professional ethics and a genuine commitment to students’ academic and personal development.

Job Responsibilities

·         Plan and conduct engaging, well-structured, and student-centered lessons in Humanities subjects according to the prescribed curriculum.

·         Teach relevant Humanities subjects to students from Grade VI to Grade XI.

·         Develop students’ understanding of History, Geography, Civics, Social Science, Bangladesh and Global Studies, and other relevant Humanities subjects, as applicable.

·         Foster critical thinking, analytical reasoning, creativity, effective communication, and an understanding of society, culture, history, geography, and human values.

·         Connect classroom learning with contemporary social, cultural, historical, geographical, and civic issues to make learning meaningful and practical.

·         Prepare lesson plans, classwork, assessments, examination questions, assignments, presentations, projects, and other academic materials.

·         Prepare students effectively for SSC and HSC/A-Level examinations, as applicable.

·         Provide academic support and guidance beyond regular classroom hours, particularly for examination preparation and subject enrichment.

·         Monitor students’ academic progress and provide appropriate feedback and remedial support when required.

·         Encourage students to participate in debates, quizzes, cultural activities, social studies projects, exhibitions, competitions, presentations, and other relevant co-curricular activities.

·         Encourage students to develop effective reading, writing, research, presentation, analytical, and communication skills.

·         Promote students’ awareness of social responsibility, civic values, cultural heritage, and global perspectives.

·         Maintain effective classroom management and ensure a disciplined, respectful, and positive learning environment.

·         Monitor students’ discipline, behaviour, and well-being during both academic and residential activities, as assigned.

·         Work collaboratively with other teachers and school authorities to ensure the holistic development of students.

·         Maintain regular communication with the school leadership regarding students’ academic progress, classroom requirements, and other relevant matters.

·         Serve as a positive role model through professional conduct, integrity, discipline, and responsible behaviour.

·         Perform other academic, residential, and institutional duties as assigned by the school authority.
