Job Context:
∎ We have developed the world`s foremost data collection practice in emerging markets and now looking for a few talented individuals from any background. The local project assistant must have strong attention to detail, responsible for validating the routes mapped by our data collectors through our data validation tool. S/he will be working directly with the project manager and local partner.
∎ This is a contractual job, which will be started on 1st February and the duration is 3 weeks.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Working with Project Manager and Local partner directly for managing the project.
∎ Communicates with the project teams & explains/monitor progress.
∎ Working with data collectors to ensure they collect quality data according to our guidelines.
∎ Validating data collected in the field using our custom tools.
∎ Ensuring our data processing team receives error-free data.
∎ Identifying new routes and hubs not included in the project plan.
∎ Guiding data collectors to ensure we collect the most complete and accurate representation of the public transport network.
∎ Communicating with bus and informal transport operators as needed.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 21 to 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Written and spoken English in addition to local languages.
∎ Must be available for the duration of the project.
∎ Rich understanding of the workings and operations of the local public transport industry;
∎ Computer literate, comfortable using custom tools and programs.
∎ Strong attention to detail
∎ Clear communication and reporting.
∎ Familiar with Office/Google products - a good understanding of Excel and Google Sheets.
∎ Familiar with geospatial visual-spatial relationships & orientation, tools (Google Maps, Google Earth, ArcGIS, QGIS, etc), map & image interpretation a plus.
∎ Assertive. Not afraid to speak up if they see something wrong.
∎ Resilient, calm and focused under pressure.
∎ Be able to prioritize and guide processes.
∎ Be able to motivate your team to maximize productivity.
