Job Context:
∎ Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is a national and non-profit development organization operating in Bangladesh since 1967. It has its Central Office in Dhaka and eight Regional Offices (Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Dinajpur, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet Region). CB is implementing 94 on-going projects covering 189 Upazilas focusing on six main priorities i.e i) Social Welfare for Vulnerable Communities (SWVC), ii) Education and Child Development, iii) Nutrition and Health Education, iv) Disaster Management, v) Ecological Conservation and Food Security (ECFS), and vi) Development of Indigenous Peoples.
∎ Caritas Bangladesh (CB), Cox`s Bazar office is looking for suitable candidate for an immediate appointment as well as to prepare a panel list for Emergency Response to the Forcibly Displaced People of Myanmar in Bangladesh.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Communication & Liaison Coordination:
∎ Linkage between Cox's Bazar Level and Camp focal points.
∎ Strengthen working relationship with RRRC Office, WASH sector and CB.
∎ Support advocacy of WASH sector within RRRC in coordination with ISCG and WASH sector coordinator
∎ Support RRRC and WASH Sector to better manage WASH programming at camp level by providing the necessary coordination and guidance.
∎ With support from technical coordinator, support field coordination, quick evaluation and response at field level in the event of outbreak, fire, cyclone and other emergency occurrences.
∎ Disseminate RRRC and WASH Sector guidance and standards to CFP and Implementing partners
∎ Liaison between RRRC, WASH Sector and CB regarding WASH sector priorities and approvals.
∎ Organize and lead the coordination meeting with CFPs in close collaboration with technical specialist
∎ Attend WASH sector coordination meetings, WASH-related meetings at RRRC office, etc.
∎ Represent CPF system in WASH sector coordination meetings.
∎ Field Support & Monitoring:
∎ Ensure National & WASH sector policy and standards (including mainstreaming) are maintained at Camp level through regular WASH activity monitoring and field advice to partners.
∎ Monitor the activities of CFPs in the camps and provide necessary assistance and guidance in terms of advocacy and coordination.
∎ Organize joint field trips with RRRC, ISCG, WASH stakeholders, implementing partners and local authorities when required.
∎ Collaborate with WASH sector IM to share WASH sector data to stakeholders
∎ Support CFPs with their challenges and develop mechanisms for exchange of experiences between camps/actors.
∎ Capacity Development:
∎ Built capacity of CFP (through advice, short-trainings, communication, etc.)
∎ Capacity Development and field support to WASH partners (especially non-UN partners).
∎ Make an improvement plan or guide the WASH actors (especially new or local organizations) when and where necessary.
∎ Reporting:
∎ Ensure that the WASH Sector Coordinator is regularly informed of critical field issues.
∎ Ensure that RRRC is informed of WASH issues and concerns.
∎ Compile main field issues to address them to WASH Sector Coordination (or within SAG if necessary).
∎ That he/she has to be submitted monthly basis activity plan and progress reports to CB.
∎ Ad-hoc Responsibilities:
∎ Any ad-hoc responsibilities regarding advocacy, communication, coordination, requested by RRRC and WASH Sector Coordinator and Caritas Bangladesh organizational purpose.
∎ Logistic arrangements:
∎ As per discussion with RRRC, Caritas Bangladesh and WASH sector, staff will have 3 offices (WASH sector/DPHE office, RRRC and Caritas Bangladesh) to build working relationships between partners.
∎ Staff will also do one day per week on the field to support field actors on behalf of WASH sector
∎ Caritas Bangladesh would need to provide laptop and transport for the staff (including field visit once a week).

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ At least 3-5 year work experience with in WASH programming, preferably at international/UN agencies.
∎ Experience of working within multi-sectoral teams especially WASH sector in humanitarian context.
∎ Excellent command in written and spoken skills in Bangla and English. Speaking in Chittagonian language would be a plus.
∎ Experience in Good Liaison, networking and communication skill with government offices, NGOs, ISCG and other platforms and forums.
∎ Skills in negotiation, facilitation, team management and conflict management.
∎ Demonstrates commitment to Humanitarian Principles.
∎ Proficient in computer applications, especially with MS Words, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.

Salary:
∎ 130000
