Job Responsibilities:
∎ Research
∎
∎ Study national and international trends of learning contents before initiating the tasks mentioned in the scope of work.
∎ Submit desk research summary with the inception report.
∎ Examine the findings from the project baseline study and formative research to reflect those in the scope of work.
∎ Content Development for the Handbook (not more than 100 pages) and Online Courses
∎
∎ Collaborate with the content specialist(s) to develop and design the contents on digital citizenship, which will promote freedom of expression.
∎ Guide the process of developing the handbook-learning contents in Bangla.
∎ Guide the content specialist(s) in developing the online course materials based on the handbook, in consultation with the e-learning website development team and keeping the website features in mind.
∎ Form strategies for both contents of the handbook and online courses in such a way that the learning materials are interactive, engaging, attention-grabbing, effective and easy to understand.
∎ Finalize a set of evaluation questions, preferably but not limited to a form of quizzes for each learning topics.
∎ Pre-test the contents of the handbook and online courses among a group of young people to make it more user-oriented.
∎ Collect feedback from three workshops with students arranged by Dnet (2 in Dhaka, 1 in Rajshahi) on draft handbook contents and web contents.
∎ Take responsibility to incorporate suggestions and modifications from end-users and Dnet.
∎ Instruct the handbook design team to design the handbook contents by providing content outlines and interacting closely with the team.
∎ Instruct the video scriptwriter team to develop storyboards of learning videos by providing content outlines and interacting closely with the team.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 5 years' of demonstrated expertise and proven experience in writing and editing learning contents for youths and adults in Bangla.
∎ Solid knowledge with previous work experience about the following topics: digital citizenship, freedom of expression, digital laws of Bangladesh, Right to Information Act 2009 and Digital Security Act 2018.
∎ Ability to empathize and connect with readers' perspective and experiences.
∎ Proficiency in handbook development and web content development for online courses.
∎ Expertise in developing evaluation questions for the learning contents.
∎ Demonstrated gender awareness, cultural sensitivity, political sensitivity and sound judgment.
∎ A record of accomplishment of developing quality contents on time and as planned, that respond to the requirements of the project.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent Bangla grammar and editing skills.
∎ Ability to lead and manage teams.
∎ Ability to cooperate with other team members with meticulous attention to detail, persistence, patience, and creativity.
∎ Strong communication and interpersonal skills to maintain liaison between multiple teams.
∎ Ability to research, analyse and consolidate information from multiple sources and prepare engaging contents for handbook and online courses.
∎ Excellent expertise in report writing in English.
∎ Experience in developing contents for online courses on digital issues will be an asset.
∎ Inception report along with a table of content & desk research summary (not more than 3 pages)
∎ A draft version of the handbook and web contents to use in end-users' workshop
∎ Final version of the handbook
∎ Final version of the online course materials
