Experience:
Master’s degree in Law, Governance, Development Studies, Gender Studies, Communications or related fields.
Minimum 5 years of experience in advocacy, civil society strengthening, or gender-climate justice programming.
Proven record in developing advocacy strategies for NGOs/donor-funded projects.
Familiarity with Bangladesh’s civil society landscape, climate vulnerability, and gender issues.
Excellent writing and communication skills in English; Bangla proficiency is an asset.
Responsibilities:
The consultant will:
Review relevant documents (project reports, donor briefs, gender-climate justice literature, etc.).
Conduct stakeholder mapping (CSOs, local govt., donor bodies, media, community reps).
Develop an advocacy strategy with:
Core messaging (aligned with Dnet and CEF’s & GFA’s existing materials).
Target audiences (local communities, policymakers, donors, media).
Suggestions for layout/design (visual aids like infographics or data visuals).
Gender sensitive and gender mainstreaming contents (advocacy guideline).
Recommended advocacy tools (such as scorecards, checklist).
Draft an advocacy strategy (10-15 pages) including:
Project overview, objectives, and expected outcomes.
Context analysis: gender and climate justice in KBAs.
Advocacy messages, tools, and calls to action.
Recommendations for dissemination and community translation (Bangla and English).
Deliver a PowerPoint presentation summarizing the strategy.
