Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Social Science (MSS)
∎ Master of social science (MSS) in Anthropology, Sociology or others social science related subject.MSc/ B.Sc.Eng also encouraged to apply.
∎ Skills Required: Report Writing

Job Responsibilities:
∎ • Experience in planning and implementing land acquisition and resettlement program, preferably financed by multi-lateral development banks
∎ • Leading and supervising multi-disciplinary teams engaged in socio-economic development activities
∎ • Multi-disciplinary action research/surveys and thorough knowledge of Bangladesh land administration system and land acquisition laws as well as resettlement policies for similar aided project
∎ • Process and functionaries involved in land administration and acquisition and resettlement
∎ • Report writing capability and ability to demonstrate personal integrity and create a transparent and accountable work environment

Additional Requirements:
∎ • Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ • Social scientist conducting and interpreting applied research typically have a masters or Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Economics, Anthropology, Sociology or other social science related subjects or engineering subjects. In addition to gaining expertise in their particular field of study, aspiring social research, technical and statistical fields of study which help them to perform their work.
∎ • Relevant practical experience, particularly research experience is advantageous.
∎ • Experience on undertaking research projects and reporting on their findings.
∎ • Knowledge of using variety of methods to gather information including questionnaires, focus groups discussion, key –informant interview, public consultation meeting etc.
∎ • Knowledge about statistical method for sampling and data analysis.
∎ • Experience on organizing national level workshop and seminar
∎ • Good report writing capability as well as presentation of report using multimedia.
∎ • Key skills for social researchers including excellent organizational skills, management and coordination skills, presentation skills. Communication skills, numerical skills, IT skills, analytical techniques
