Educational Requirements:
∎ An undergraduate degree/Bachelor's in physics, chemistry, microbiology, or another relevant field.

∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide technical support and guidance to laboratories working with BTF to initiate or improve quality management systems and test procedures, and to prepare action plans, document procedures, and to apply for certification or accreditation of ISO standards.
∎ Support the development of training tools and coordinate a series of capacity-building initiatives, including a general training program and customized trainings to meet the needs of targeted laboratories.
∎ Contribute to the development and implementation of sampling protocols and assist in drafting SOPs.
∎ Support selected laboratories to develop and document testing methods, improve and/or automate recordkeeping, and enhance or streamline operations.
∎ Participate in project teams and interact and communicate with officials and technicians from Government agencies, laboratories, donor projects, and technical service providers to assess and map current systems and/or answer technical questions or queries.
∎ Coordinate or actively participate in food safety and laboratory professional networks.
∎ Contribute and support other relevant tasks to support BTF's objectives as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a lab technician, research analyst, or laboratory quality management specialist at a chemical or food testing laboratory.
∎ Proven knowledge and practical experience in laboratory diagnoses and chemical and food testing parameters.
∎ Demonstrated understanding of the requirements for competency testing and calibration of laboratory equipment and the requirements and procedures related to ISO/IEC standards.
∎ Familiarity with international biosafety regulations and international food safety standards, such as Codex Alimentarius, World Animal Health Organization (OIE), and International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC).
∎ Completion of an assessor training course on ISO/IEC by the Bangladesh Accreditation Board will be an advantage.
∎ Be fluent in English and Bangla languages, and have excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
∎ Demonstrate proven competency in time management and multitasking.
