Experience:

• 8 to 10 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Hospital, Diagnostic Centre

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)

• MBBS with MD / FCPS / MPhil / PhD in Biochemistry.

• Additional training or certifications related to laboratory management, ISO standards, or quality systems will be an added advantage.

• Age At most 55 years

• Strong leadership, decision-making, and people management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of laboratory operations, Biochemistry testing, and quality assurance processes.
• Ability to handle ISO audits, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and basic computer applications.

To strengthen our leadership team and ensure continued excellence in Biochemistry and laboratory operations, we are looking for an experienced and dynamic Lab Director & Consultant – Biochemistry & Immunology.The ideal candidate will oversee laboratory functions, maintain ISO accreditation requirements, and provide expert guidance in Biochemistry diagnostics. This is a senior leadership position offering the opportunity to contribute significantly to the development of a high-performance, quality-driven laboratory environment. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction for all laboratory operations, maintaining international standards and ISO certification requirements.

• Oversee all Biochemistry-related testing, reporting, and result validation.

• Ensure strict compliance with quality control, quality assurance, and accreditation standards (ISO 15189 or equivalent).

• Lead and mentor laboratory scientists, technologists, and operational teams.

• Develop, implement, and continuously update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet regulatory and ISO guidelines.

• Interpret complex Biochemistry results and provide expert consultation to physicians and healthcare partners.

• Collaborate with the executive management team for strategic planning, process optimization, and service expansion.

• Ensure readiness for external audits, assessments, and proficiency testing programs.

• Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and scientific excellence within the lab.
