Experience in participatory program planning, management, monitoring, evaluation, and PRA tools,

Creative thinking and a knack for generating innovative ideas for knowledge and research management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Bengali and English.
Proficiency in using graphic design and social media management tools.
Can drive motorbikes in rural areas with a valid motorcycle driving license.

Responsibilities & Context: Job Summary:
LEDARS (Local Environment Development and Agricultural Research Society), an NGO registered with the NGO Affairs Bureau, has been working in the climate-vulnerable southwest coastal region of Bangladesh since 1996. The region faces severe challenges due to the adverse impacts of climate change, affecting the lives and livelihoods of local communities. LEDARS has been implementing numerous programs in this region. As part of its continued mission to climate resilience and community development, LEDARS is going to appoint a proactive and experienced LEDARS is going to appoint Knowledge and Research Manager for the smooth operation of knowledge and research management activities of the project. This is a senior-level position that will essentially be responsible for capturing, preserving, and properly disseminating knowledge. The following are the major job requirements of this post.
Job Requirements
The following are the major job requirements of this position:
- Functioning the knowledge management center in the premises of the LEDARS head office
- Digital archive development incorporating updated climate change-related knowledge, articles, resilience, adaptation, mitigation, environmental conservation, green and renewable energy, etc.
- Preserve climate and environment-related local, national, regional, international law, policy, declaration, agreements, study documents, technology references, and international declarations like human rights, child rights, and women's rights for enriching the KMC’s archive.
- conduct knowledge-generating information, like issue-based action research, and need-based information.
- Ensure appropriate preservation of records, materials, and all archiving information in a physical mode and digital format
- Ensure knowledge and research outputs are clear, concise, and useful in line with the working sectors of LEDARS,
- Prepare and produce climate change issue-based writings, reports, articles, IEC materials, knowledge collection and management tools as required,
- Have good knowledge of graphics design, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc., and be able to make designs of quarterly electronic and printed newsletters,
- Create visually compelling and engaging content, including graphics, videos, and written posts, to disseminate program messages effectively.
- Organize session with school and college students on different important issues on climate change, resilience, adaptation, environmental conservation etc.
- Prepare a standard presentation in PowerPoint and produce relevant video documentaries for use to increase awareness of the community.
- Linkage and relationship development with different colleges and universities to make access to their information available to the knowledge management center,
- Implement the research interns and scholarship programs with different universities to provide internship and scholarship opportunities using the LEDARS Knowledge Management Center of LEDARS.
- Establish effective relationships and linkages with local, national, and international knowledge networks and alliances for mutual knowledge sharing,
- Assist different external and internal teams to conduct knowledge-generating information, like issue-based action research, need-based information, baseline survey, monitoring and evaluation.
- Extend support and cooperation to evaluators during internal and external evaluation,
- Assist PC and PM in implementing the project effectively, especially in preparing different periodical reports and in communicating with the donor agency.
- Support and accompany donors, journalists, visitors, and other stakeholders during the field visit,
- Prepare case study, event report, and need-based reports required by the organization, donor and potential stakeholders.
- Manage organizational social media accounts and pages, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn, to enhance our online presence.
- Develop and execute innovative social media campaigns to raise awareness about organizational projects and activities, engage with our target audience, and promote our organization's mission.
- Maintain and preserve all documents, reports, meeting minutes, photographs, press clippings, attendance sheets, comments, and other similar documents related to the project.
- Assist organizational fundraising team by providing necessary data and information for developing a proposal, program sheet and program concept note,
- Any other responsibilities assigned by the Senior Management/Executive Director.
Job Location: LEDARS Head Office, Munshigonj, Shyamnagar, Satkhira.
Job Other Benifits: Salary: Provisionary period 40,000.00 Taka, after confirmation 45,000.00 Taka
Other benefits: Yearly increment, two festival bonuses, Contributory Provident fund, Gratuity, phone bill, and travel expenses as per organizational policy.
