Additional Requirements:
  • Age 25 to 40 years
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals including Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Strength of Materials, and Theory of Machines.

  • Practical experience in workshop practices such as fitting, machining, welding, carpentry, and fabrication.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, blueprints, and engineering schematics.

  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (Vernier caliper, micrometer, dial gauge, height gauge) and maintenance of lab equipment.

  • Basic knowledge of CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD / SolidWorks) and manufacturing processes.

  • Understanding of industrial safety standards, preventive maintenance, and quality control procedures.

  • Strong instructional, classroom management, and student mentoring skills for diploma-level learners.

  • Ability to prepare lesson plans, practical demonstrations, lab manuals, and assessment materials as per polytechnic curriculum standards.



Responsibilities & Context:
  1. Conduct theoretical and practical classes for Diploma-level Mechanical Engineering students according to the approved curriculum.

  2. Prepare lesson plans, lecture materials, practical demonstrations, lab manuals, assignments, quizzes, and assessment materials.

  3. Teach core Mechanical Engineering subjects, including Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Strength of Materials, and Theory of Machines.

  4. Conduct and supervise workshop and laboratory activities, including fitting, machining, welding, carpentry, and fabrication.

  5. Guide students in mechanical drawing, blueprints, engineering schematics, and basic CAD applications such as AutoCAD/SolidWorks.

  6. Ensure the proper and safe use of workshop tools, laboratory equipment, and precision measuring instruments.

  7. Assess students' academic and practical performance and provide appropriate feedback and guidance.

  8. Maintain classroom, laboratory, and workshop discipline while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

  9. Mentor students in their academic and technical development and support departmental academic activities.

  10. Perform any other academic or departmental responsibilities assigned by the Department Head/Management.
