Job Context:
∎ The IT Assistant monitors and maintains Relief International`s computer networks throughout Bangladesh RI Operation, installs and configures hardware and software, and provides technical support to RI staff in Bangladesh. The IT assistant will also be the focal point for RI`s Asset management in Bangladesh. The IT Assistant works closely with the Regional IT Coordinator as well as the Global IT Manager to help drive down global IT regulations and procedures to the local country offices, and ensure Bangladesh Country and Field offices are in line with the RI global IT strategy. S/he has a focus of support in IT but might be asked to perform additional tasks if and when needed.

∎ Duty Station: Cox`s Bazar (with occasional missions to field offices where RI operates when required by supervisor)
∎ Expected Start Date: At Earliest
∎ Contract length: One Year (With possibility of Extension subject to funding, program needs and performance of incumbent)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Utilize the IT support ticketing system to troubleshoot users' computer problems, determine sources of issues, and deliver appropriate solutions
∎ Support in-country RI staff to access IT-managed services
∎ Setup new users' accounts and assist users to maintain active profiles throughout IT-managed systems
∎ Install, operate, and maintain computer networks and communication systems
∎ Computer Systems Monitoring and Maintenance:
∎ Follow the RI Computer Standards to install and configure computer operating systems and all RI software
∎ Plan and undertake scheduled maintenance to ensure all local computers are up-to-date with important software and system updates
∎ Manage and keep track of IT Equipment Database for Afghanistan Country Support Offices and sub-offices
∎ Prepare ICT procurement and replacement plan
∎ Network Monitoring and Maintenance:
∎ Perform regularly scheduled network equipment maintenance to ensure office networks are running smoothly
∎ Monitor networking firewalls and enforce network security policies
∎ Diagnose and fix network problems or potential problems
∎ Maintain other networked equipment, including but not limited to: printers, scanners, VoIP phones, and web conferencing systems
∎ Information Security Response:
∎ Monitor and respond to security alerts associated with local users in the Cisco Thread Response portal
∎ Ensure all the local devices are free of virus/malware and the protection agents are up-to-date
∎ Coordinate with Cyber Security Working Group to respond to any cyber-attacks targeting local users or devices.
∎ Infrastructure Maintenance:
∎ Manage and maintain Power Sources to the office, upgrade if needed. Including gas generator and renewable energy sources, if apply
∎ Maintain and manage office cabling, including power cables and network cabling
∎ Setup necessary backup power options to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the network
∎ Configuring hardware and software, setting up peripherals such as printers or routers, repairing equipment
∎ IT knowledge and user training:
∎ Complete and fulfill all IT training requirements
∎ Attend necessary IT webinars and seminars to stay up-to-date with changes to all IT-managed solutions
∎ Maintain knowledge of industry trends and support best practices
∎ Provide basic IT user training and orientation to local staff as needed
∎ ASSET MANAGEMENT:
∎ Manage, develop and implement procedures for tracking organization's assets to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles.
∎ Produce monthly, annual asset reports
∎ Performing periodic physical verification on assets

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum 3-5 years of progressive management and leadership experience with at least 2 years of IT relevant experience work.
∎ Exceptional analytical, organizational, managerial and communication skills.
∎ Experience working with INGO
∎ Excellent interpersonal, communication skills required, including patience, diplomacy, willingness to listen and respect for colleagues and partners.
∎ Excellent time management skills and resourcefulness with strong attention to detail.
∎ Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
∎ Flexibility and ability to manage time accordingly; prepared to tackle other tasks commensurate with the role, and level of experience, at short notice.
∎ High level of creativity and coordination.
∎ Fluency in Bangla and English is required.

Salary:
∎ As per RI National Pay Scale Policy in Bangladesh

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Mobile bill, Medical allowance, Weekly 2 holidays, Insurance
∎ Salary Review: Yearly
∎ Two festival bonuses in a year equivalent to one basic salary.
∎ Severance (8.33% of the monthly basic salary) goes with the monthly release of the salary.
