Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Science (M.Sc) In Information Management, Geographical Information Systems, Geography, Computer Science, Development Studies, Environmental Studies
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
GIS Mapping, kobo, ODK, SPSS, STATA, Tablue
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure a planned and structured flow of information for disaster management applying quality and accountability standards and procedures to facilitate exchange of information, development and utilization of data and information management products, including disaster risk, vulnerability, crisis effect and impact information.
∎ Ensure adequate preparedness for spatial and non-spatial data including storing files, vulnerability and census/survey information etc.
∎ Develop guideline and provide specific technical guidance or/and training to relevant humanitarian stakeholders and members staff.
∎ Support in the design and implementation of standardized data collection tools and template for the humanitarian community.
∎ Conduct capacity development and learning activities with national authorities and partners to improve data collection, management, data analysis and application for decision-making.
∎ Present standard information products including maps, info graphics, dashboards and databases applying different visualization tools such as GIS (QGIS and/or ArcGIS), Tableau, SPSS etc.
∎ Coordinate and perform necessary geospatial analysis based on collected data and disseminate resulting products and datasets to the stakeholders.
∎ Maintain strong partnerships and regular liaison with key stakeholders e.g. MoDMR, DDM, BBS, NDRCC, HCTT, IMWG, NAWG and other clusters and working groups as well as relevant civil society organizations in relation to support and complement their information management functions in consistence with the Disaster Management Vision.
∎ Develop and manage user-friendly web portal with interoperable data serving as repository of all information management (IM) products, including impact of crisis and risk analysis, of interest for humanitarian and development partners designed.
∎ Make innovative ideas and mobilize resources effectively for the organization.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Sound Knowledge on R/Python programming for data analysis.
∎ Knowledge and experience in disaster management including anticipatory action and/or disaster damage and loss assessment/ disaster loss accounting/needs assessment.
∎ Large database management as well as previous research capability will be considered as additional quality.

Salary: Tk. 50000 - 65000 (Monthly)

All 23 members under the coalition have been working in the high risk areas of Bangladesh since long to reduce the risk of disaster on livelihood security of vulnerable household. Now, NIRAPAD is going with its` own capacity and partner organizations` maintain.
