Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Country Coordinator – Bangladesh, reporting to CARE Component 1 Project Director, through the Country Program Lead – Bangladesh and the Project Coordinator, shall have the following specific tasks:
∎ Coordinate with project partners and stakeholder ministries/agencies for collaboration on, and inputs to, CARE project activities and their implementation;
∎ Ensure that the implementation of the project activities aligns with the target project outcomes;
∎ Lead/support stakeholder mapping/engagement, user needs assessments/refinement of assessment outcomes, user feedback surveys/assessments, and project impact assessments;
∎ Support data collection for the development of the RDAS, and DSSs for livestock, water resources and other select sectors, and technical assistance work for agriculture and other sectors;
∎ Support and supervise the work of national consultants, and national systems development team, ensuring that outputs are per required details and quality, among others;
∎ Support the deployment of DSSs and other tools, and interact with host agencies/partner government institutions for the sustained operations, maintenance and management of these DSSs and other tools;
∎ Lead the project’s various capacity building activities for enabling stakeholders/users in integrating climate-informed products in their plans and decisions;
∎ Document monthly progress of in-country activities, including implementation challenges, solutions undertaken, lessons learned, and plans forward, and provide the information to the CARE Component 1 Project Director and other relevant project staff for resolution of challenges/issues/concerns, planning of logistical and other support for onward activities, and for ensuring that progress/milestones are integrated into periodic project reports;
∎ As relevant, immediately inform the CARE Component 1 Project Director of any matter/issue/concern that needs to be promptly addressed for ascertaining smooth project implementation;
∎ Ensure that feedbacks from project stakeholders are articulated to the CARE Component 1 Project Director and relevant members of the Project Team for integration of such feedback into the DSSs and tools development, and implementation of capacity building activities;
∎ Provide data/information for monitoring and evaluation of project progress against targets and performance indicators;
∎ Facilitate/contribute to the documentation and communication of project accomplishments, good practices, and lessons learned;
∎ Support internal and external project evaluations;
∎ Perform any other relevant duties as required by the project.
