Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters degree in any discipline, Master of Arts (MA) in English
∎ Experience of teaching/facilitating online or blended courses/digital learning.
∎ Cambridge ESOL Celta (or recognised equivalent) and substantial classroom English. Language Teaching (ELT) experience, including general and business English courses for adults.
∎ Track record in successful writing of high quality ELT materials that facilitate effective learning and are also engaging.
∎ Experience of materials design for online/blended courses. If not commercially published, then other evidence of success required.
∎ Track record in delivering quality work, as commissioned, to deadline and without close supervision.
∎ Experience of working remotely with a team of writers.
∎ Preferred Professional Certification: Cambridge ESOL Celta

Job Context:
∎ We are seeking two Materials Writers to develop online and face-to-face content and materials to support a vast majority of IELTS candidate and our enrolled students to agreed standards and within budget. Materials will be designed to complement the online platform IELTS.live and other online clients, and Materials Writers have to design course (ranging from 1 hour to 5 hours of each course) with a focus on IELTS preparation, English language development, communication and employability skills (building confidence, writing a job application/CV, preparing for an interview, etc.). In addition to face-to-face lessons, the materials are likely to play a significant role in English Clubs, which will be learner-driven and provide additional engagement opportunity after college and university for further practice.

∎ Furthermore, the materials will need to be culturally aligned to the target audience while at the same time exposing the learners to international varieties of English.

∎ Content will need to meet academic quality standards and guidelines agreed by BARC.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Contribute to discussions on the materials outline during the briefing (face-to-face or remote)
∎ Produce materials (A1, A2, B1, B2, and C1 levels) for face-to-face and online content (50-100 hours per level) within the established time frame.
∎ Ensure materials positively demonstrate standard English, safeguarding equality, diversity and inclusion and environmental policies and standards
∎ Work closely with the team to ensure materials design meets Online learning objectives and outcomes.
∎ Attend regular progress review meetings face-to-face or online.
∎ Review and revise materials in line with feedback received from peers and the Team Leader.
∎ Develop a quality assurance framework for pre-, in- and post-use analysis of the materials.

Salary: Tk. 20000 - 40000 (Monthly)
