Job Context:
∎ The Hygiene Officer will provide support to the different awareness activities implementation of project area. The Hygiene Officer will lead the Facilitators which involve awareness and campaign related activities, ensure the overall hygiene messages to the target area peoples.
∎ The Hygiene Officer will report to the WASH Coordinator and work inclusively with Facilitators and labors. Hygiene Officer ensures quality of works, find out WASH related problems/complain from the users and take action priority basis. The major rule of Hygiene Officer to capacity building of Rohingya Facilitators. Report generate to the management before deadline
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for coordinating Rohingya Facilitators, labors and other
∎ To coordinate with other WASH agencies representatives, majhi, faith leaders and WASH Committee
∎ Prepare awareness related report(s) (weekly and monthly)
∎ Assists WASH Coordinator to project activities updates on regular basis
∎ Following Detailed Implementation Plans (DIPs) and PIG for the delivery of project WASH activities
∎ Provide overall follow up and supervision of the software related activities to the project
∎ Communities WASH Focal Points’ for WASH infrastructure monitoring, operations, and maintenance.
∎ Be aware of emergency procedures in a response
∎ Provide leadership training WASH committee members
∎ To assist in session facilitation and should have that skill and have knowledge about the techniques
∎ Implementation of activities will be followed by DIP & PIG
∎ All the implemented activities record keeping with necessary information
∎ Timely authentic report submission to the management
∎ Build capacity of Facilitators and Ruhingya Volunteers to effectively deliver services to the targeted beneficiaries.
∎ Organize knowledge and skill sharing session among the colleagues on infrastructures
∎ Establish and liaison closely with other partners, agencies and local leaders regarding project activities to ensure a coordinated approach to project implementation, including participation in relevant workshops, meetings and to keep the Programs with WASH sector lead informed.
∎ Prepare PR on the basis of field assessment
∎ Ensure procurement and spending is aligned with the technical needs of the program.
∎ Track and manage project budget lines.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Under the supervision and direction WASH Coordinator (Hygiene) and with other WASH sector stakeholders as part of the WASH intervention, to safeguard and improve the public health of the affected population by promoting safe WASH practices, including appropriate use and maintenance of WASH facilities and services; measuring appropriate community involvement in the design and delivery of essential WASH services and facilities.
∎ Promote safe WASH practices, including appropriate use and maintenance of WASH facilities and services
∎ Facilitate appropriate community involvement in the design and delivery of essential WASH services and facilities using safety audit tools and gender assessment.
∎ Collate data from Community Mobilisers and prepare regular reports on activities
∎ Regular submission of reports to WASH Coordinator (Hygiene)
∎ Monitor the construction works on a regular basis to check and ensure good quality of materials and implementation
∎ Chittagong/Rohingya and Bengali language skills will add value.
∎ Decision making and conflict resolution skills
∎ Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint presentation
∎ Ability to work under stressful condition and adaptive to local culture and situation
∎ Minimum of 2 years of working experience in the relevant field
∎ Should have willingness and able to travel in camp location regularly
