Experience:
Master’s degree in Social Sciences/Developmental Studies or any other relevant discipline from a reputed institution.
Age at most 45 years (Flexible for highly experienced candidates)
A minimum of 5 to 8 years of practical experience in effectively managing development projects for vulnerable groups/communities at grassroots levels, coupled with experience in Shelter Home Management, will be considered an advantage for this position.
Required Languages: Strong written and oral command in English/Bangle is required.
Having knowledge and skills in Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks of development organizations;
Strong understanding of gender and diversity issues;
Demonstrate strong interpersonal organizational and communication skills and good communicator, understanding the staffs likes and dislike.
Basic computer proficiency: i.e. MS Office, database management, coordination via email, project-specific management information systems, etc.
Should be self-driven and positive to work in a team and having knowledgeable on a wide range of areas related to the role.
Have training and/or certifications as a House Manager if any.
Should be committed to work following organizational aims, values, principal and policies.

Project Background
Rights Jessore is a leading human rights organisation in Bangladesh dedicated to protection and promotion of human rights, prevention of human trafficking and providing service to vulnerable people. Rights Jessore working for victim rescue, repatriation, reintegration, rehabilitation and providing legal support to vulnerable and marginalized people. Since 1991, Rights Jessore has been working in southern part of Bangladesh as a pioneer organization in this sector and later it has expanded its working area throughout the Bangladesh and abroad for upholds the rights of marginalized people. The organization has extensive experience on repatriation and reintegration of trafficking survivors. In this context, Rights Jessore is set to implement a project titled “Establish a short-term half-way home in Benapole under Jashore district and provide support to VoTs & vulnerable returnees.” Funded by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), this 16-month project began in July 2024. The short-term half-way home will be established in Benapole, Jashore.
The project aims to establish a short-term halfway home in Benapole, under Jashore district, to support victims of trafficking (VoTs) and vulnerable returnees. The main purpose of this initiative is to provide various forms of assistance, including food, shelter, medical care, psychosocial support, and legal aid, to help vulnerable returnees achieve stability before returning home. In this background, Rights Jessore is looking for suitable candidates for an immediate appointment as well as to prepare a panel list for the different position of above-mentioned project. In this regard, Rights Jessore invites application for following positions for Benapole, Jashore.
Position Summary of Home Manager
Rights Jessore will recruit a full-time home manager for the halfway home in Benapole, Jashore. The home manager will lead the project and ensure the effective operation of the shelter home. Responsibilities include supervising all halfway home staff, managing project targets, maintaining continuous liaison with relevant stakeholders, and providing monthly reports to the Director of Programs at Rights Jessore, who will finalize and share the reports with the donor. The home manager will be based at the halfway home in Benapole, Jashore.
