Job Context:
∎ Social Assistance and Rehabilitation for the Physically Vulnerable (SARPV) is a non-government, non-political, Bangladeshi organization under it`s Health & Nutrition program providing lifesaving health & nutrition support to the displaced people arriving from the Rakhine state of Myanmar and the host community people of Cox`s Bazar.
∎ As part of its Health & Nutrition interventions in support with Concern Worldwide, SARPV will implement multi-sectoral PRM project titled "Delivering Health, Nutrition and Livelihood, and Protection services for Rohingya Refugees and vulnerable host communities in Cox`s Bazar, Bangladesh" from November 2020.
∎ Job purpose:
∎ Promotion of adoption of the recommended maternal, infant and young child nutrition practices at household level, for improved nutrition of pregnant and lactating women and children under 2 years, through the Mother Care Group approach.
∎ Liaises with:
∎ SARPV`s projects operating in the same areas, for mutual support and activity integration, towards collective multi-sectoral impact on nutrition outcomes in pregnant and lactating women and children under 2 years.
∎ Employment Status: Contractual, until 31st December 2021 (renewable)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1.Project Implementation
∎ Train Lead Mothers on Nutrition and the Mother Care Group approach for promotion of recommended nutrition practices at household level.
∎ Identify and mobilize husbands and mothers in law of pregnant and lactating women for nutrition for social and behavior change communication.
∎ Select project beneficiaries with respect and impartiality and ensuring the required coverage of the project areas.
∎ Identify and mobilize all pregnant and lactating women and mothers of children under 2 years, form household caregiver groups and facilitate selection of Lead Mothers.
∎ Mobilize selected Lead Mothers and their husbands and form Mother Care Groups, with informed consent, ensuring 100% coverage of project area.
∎ Conduct monthly sessions with Lead Mothers, following the recommended social and behavior change communication methods such as ASPIRE method, covering monthly topics on maternal, infant and young child nutrition.
∎ Conduct support supervision for Lead Mothers as they train their respective household caregiver groups on the monthly topics.
∎ Build capacity of Lead Mothers to report on the monthly activities of the household caregiver groups, using pictorial reporting tools.
∎ Conduct home visits for Lead Mothers to follow up the personal commitments to behaviour change in their own homes and discuss challenges and way forward.
∎ Conduct monthly topic review meetings with Lead Mothers, to get feedback on cascading of sessions to household caregiver groups, and agree on way forward.
∎ Support the development of a pictorial book of innovative nutritious meals recipes for maternal, infant and young child nutrition, through participatory cooking sessions.
∎ Distribute project materials to target beneficiaries, and promote the utilisation as per project design, to achieve project objectives.
∎ Conduct on the job coaching to the Lead Mothers on a regular basis to maintain high quality and accountability to beneficiaries, all the way to the household level.
∎ 2. Coordination
∎ Mobilize community leaders and influential persons for sensitization meetings to ensure buy in and beneficiaries trust and willingness to participate in the project.
∎ Liaise with other SARPV's project field teams to ensure integration of all projects within SARPV's, for smooth operation and mutual support.
∎ 3. Human Resource Management
∎ Ensure an enabling, friendly, collaborative and professional working culture with fellow staff and beneficiaries and adherence to SARPV's policies and procedures.
∎ 4. Monitoring and Evaluation.
∎ Participate in regular team meetings to discuss activity progress and learning.
∎ Work with Project Officer to identify and address implementation bottle necks.
∎ Support MEAL team in data collection for surveys and evaluations.
∎ Ensure the feedback mechanism for accountability to beneficiaries is operational in the project areas.
∎ 5. Reporting
∎ Share weekly field activities updates with the Project Officer.
∎ Work with MEAL to build capacity of the Lead Mothers to use the pictorial M&E tools.
∎ 6. Additional Roles
∎ Promote and ensure compliance with the requirements of SARPV's HR policies, SARPV's Code of Conduct and its associated policies and Core Humanitarian Standards of Accountability to ensure protection to programme beneficiaries.
∎ Perform other duties assigned by Project Officer.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 1 years' work experience in nutrition or food security & livelihood related fields.
∎ Good knowledge on Rohingya refugee context is required
∎ Experience working with older people over 60 years would be an advantage
∎ Pro- active with an ability to think analytically
∎ Results oriented team player with excellent planning and organisational skills
∎ Ability to solve problems with good decision making skills
∎ Acts to inspire others by clearly articulating and demonstrating good values
∎ Nurtures a productive, motivating and responsive environment to develop a team
∎ Ability to work in challenging environments.

Salary: Tk. 20000 (Monthly)
