∎ Age at least 40 years
∎ Work experience with Buying/ Liaison Office/Garments in Quality Assurance and Technical Department as Manager/Head of department preferably with Europe based brands/ Liaison Office
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Set and maintain the professional standards of work and decision making at all times.
∎ Work closely with other departments within the business (garment techs, fabric, Development, Compliance) to give the best possible service to the business in terms of quality, design, and speed.
∎ Communicate with Head of Technical in UK when issues arise and discuss solutions.
∎ Able to manage large teams, to ensure continuous team development• Excellent communication skill.
∎ Work with 5+ suppliers, plus our sample room across Woven, Jersey, Knitwear and wash, embroidered, etc.
∎ Deep knowledge of regulatory issues, and the ability to develop and implement a cutting-edge Quality Management Systems.
∎ Develop strong working relationships with garment manufacturers, our fabric team and fabric suppliers, that may visit, laundries and other Tier 2 suppliers.
∎ Establish and maintain robust working procedures with all factories and suppliers, ensuring all procedures comply with SOP requirements.
∎ Training sessions for garment manufacturers to educate to required procedures and standards and upskill in house Garment/Fabric Techs & QA’s through continuous trainings.
∎ Conduct factory Technical Audit evaluations on current and proposed factories within the country.
∎ Set and manage Corrective Action Plans wherever appropriate and follow up with Code of Practice teams.
∎ Always Ensure our factories and follow the compliance requirements.
∎ Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
∎ Excellent attention to detail and recruitment and training of local technical team members.
∎ Strong communication and influencing skills across all levels.
∎ Commercially aware of new products, construction and trends.
∎ Passionate, enthusiastic, shows initiative.
∎ High level knowledge of garment design, fabric, construction, pattern cutting, manufacturing and fitting.
∎ Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
∎ Excellent attention to detail will ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
∎ A strong interest and understanding of the industrial machinery and Garment industry and Sample room set-up.
∎ Working knowledge of relevant software tools like CAD, ERP, PDM, WFX PLM
