Education:
∎ Master’s degree in Economics, Development Studies, Statistics, Environmental Science, or a related field from a reputed local or foreign university. A Ph.D. in a relevant field will be preferred.

∎ Experience Requirements:
∎ ●        At least 5-10 years of experience in industrial research, sustainability practices, or related fields, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
∎ ●        Experience in the garments or textile industry is highly preferred.
∎ Additional Requirements:
∎ ●        Age at least 35 years.
∎ ●        Proven expertise in research methodology, data analysis, and report writing.
∎ ●        In-depth knowledge of sustainability practices and environmental regulations relevant to the RMG industry.
∎ ●        Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead projects independently.
∎ ●        Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Bangla.
∎ ●        Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
∎ ●        Proficiency in relevant software and tools for research and data analysis.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive research programs aligned with BGMEA's objectives.
∎ Research Oversight: Lead the planning and execution of industrial research projects, ensuring high-quality data collection, analysis, and reporting.
∎ Sustainability Initiatives: Oversee the development and implementation of sustainability programs, promoting environmentally responsible practices within the RMG industry.
∎ Policy Analysis: Monitor and analyze industry trends, economic data, and policy developments to inform BGMEA's strategic decisions.
∎ Team Management: Supervise and mentor the Research and Sustainability teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
∎ Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with government agencies, industry stakeholders, and international partners to advance research and sustainability goals.
∎ Communication: Present research findings and sustainability reports to internal and external audiences, effectively communicating complex information.
∎ Job Overview:
∎ The Head of Industrial Research Unit will lead BGMEA's research initiatives and sustainability programs, overseeing the Research Team and the Sustainability Team. This senior role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in industrial research, policy analysis, sustainability practices, and team management.
