∎ The Accounts and Finance Head will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing all financial aspects of the apparel company. This leadership position requires a seasoned finance professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial management, and strategic planning. The individual will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective budgeting and forecasting, and providing strategic financial insights to support the company`s growth and profitability.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Financial Reporting and Analysis:
∎ Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
∎ Analyze financial data to provide insights into the company's financial performance and trends.
∎ Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess the company's financial health and identify areas for improvement.
∎ Budgeting and Forecasting:
∎ Develop and manage the company's annual budgeting process in collaboration with relevant departments.
∎ Provide guidance and support in creating detailed budget plans and financial forecasts.
∎ Monitor budget performance and variance analysis, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
∎ Strategic Financial Planning:
∎ Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies that align with the company's overall business goals.
∎ Participate in long-term financial planning and scenario analysis to assess potential risks and opportunities.
∎ Treasury and Cash Management:
∎ Manage cash flow by monitoring inflows and outflows and optimizing working capital.
∎ Implement effective cash management strategies to ensure adequate liquidity for daily operations and growth initiatives.
∎ Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for funding and investment opportunities.
∎ Compliance and Audit:
∎ Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
∎ Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and other financial assessments.
∎ Maintain accurate and organized financial records, documentation, and internal controls.
∎ Team Leadership and Development:
∎ Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
∎ Provide guidance and support on complex financial transactions, reporting issues, and technical accounting matters.
∎ Financial Systems and Technology:
∎ Evaluate and implement financial software and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
∎ Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in accounting and finance.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 42 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA is a strong advantage.
∎ Proven experience of at least 8 years in a senior finance or accounting role, preferably within the apparel industry or a related field.
∎ Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
∎ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
∎ Proficiency in financial software and systems; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
∎ Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and communicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
Salary: Tk. 70000 - 100000 (Monthly)
