Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE), Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE), or a relevant discipline.
MBA/Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
15+ years of experience in manufacturing/plant operations with significant experience in a senior leadership role.
Proven experience in managing multiple manufacturing plants or large-scale manufacturing operations.
Candidates with experience in FMCG, Food & Beverage, Electronics, Electrical, Engineering, Consumer Products or other diversified manufacturing industries will be preferred.
Strong track record in operational excellence, productivity improvement, cost optimization and large-team management.
Akij Venture Group is looking for an experienced, strategic, and results-driven professional to join our leadership team as Group Plant Director.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide strategic and operational leadership across all manufacturing plants of the Group.
Oversee end-to-end plant operations including Production, Engineering & Maintenance, Quality, Planning, Utilities, Warehouse and related functions.
Ensure achievement of production, quality, productivity, cost, delivery, safety and efficiency targets across all plants.
Develop and implement standardized manufacturing systems, KPIs, processes and best practices across plants.
Drive operational excellence, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Optimize manpower, machinery, materials, utilities and other resources to maximize plant efficiency and asset utilization.
Lead cost reduction, waste minimization, energy efficiency and productivity improvement initiatives.
Oversee annual OPEX/CAPEX planning, budgeting and effective utilization of plant resources.
Ensure compliance with applicable statutory, regulatory, environmental, safety, quality and industry standards.
Monitor plant performance through regular KPI reviews and take corrective actions to address operational gaps.
Lead and develop Plant Heads/Factory Heads and build a strong leadership and succession pipeline.
Work closely with Business Heads, Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance, HR, R&D, Quality and other functions to ensure business objectives are achieved.
Lead capacity expansion, modernization, automation and new plant development projects as required.
Identify operational risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Prepare and present regular operational performance reports, business plans and improvement initiatives to Group Management.
