Experience:
FCA qualification required; MBA in Finance or Accounts preferable.ITP, VAT Consultant, Chartered secretariate
Strong knowledge of IFRS, IAS, TAX/VAT regulations are mandatory.
Proven experience with financial planning, budgeting, and multi-property/multi-entity consolidation
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
Excellent communication skills in both Bengali and English
High integrity, strong analytical mindset, and ability to work directly with senior leadership
Experienced in Group of company finance.
Financial Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute long-term financial strategy aligned with company growth objectives, including expansion plans for Kuakata operations
Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models for hotel operations and new property development
Advise the Managing Director and Board on capital structure, investment decisions, and financing options
Financial Operations & Reporting
Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in compliance with Bangladesh Financial Reporting Standards (BFRS)
Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions across all properties
Ensure timely, accurate MIS reporting to ownership/management
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure full compliance with NBR (National Board of Revenue) tax regulations, VAT, and corporate tax filings
Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies (RJSC, Bangladesh Bank where applicable)
Establish and maintain strong internal controls and risk management frameworks
Banking & Fundraising
Manage relationships with commercial banks and financial institutions for working capital facilities, LCs, and project financing
Lead due diligence and structuring for expansion projects, including the Kuakata property
Team Leadership
Build and lead the finance and accounts department
Mentor finance staff and coordinate with HR on payroll, incentive structures, and cost control initiatives
Work cross-functionally with operations, sales, and business development teams
Cost Control & Profitability
Monitor departmental budgets (F&B, rooms, events) and identify cost-optimization opportunities
Analyze profitability by property/segment and recommend corrective actions
