We are looking for an analyst with 1-3 years of experience to join our dynamic team, responsible for researching and analyzing macroeconomic, political, and policy developments and their impact on the market.
Responsibilities
Analyze the impact of political and policy developments, such as tariff changes or regulatory updates, on financial markets and global capital flows.
Contribute to timely and innovative research publications, including co-authoring articles that uncover and explain sectoral capital flows and market dynamics.
Conduct empirical resea
rch projects on topics such as the effect of political events on equity markets or the impact of regulation on firm borrowing costs.
Qualifications
1-3 years of relevant experience in a research-oriented role at an institution such as a central bank, investment firm, or in an academic setting.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, with a strong academic record and coursework in econometrics. A demonstrated interest in the intersection of policy and markets, perhaps through a senior thesis or similar capstone project, is highly valued.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with demonstrated experience conducting empirical research using panel data or similar datasets.
Deep understanding of the US political system and policymaking process, with an ability to present complex macroeconomic analysis and policy proposals. Experience in activities like the College Fed Challenge is a strong plus.
Proficiency with statistical software and programming languages is required (e.g., Stata, R, Python, Matlab, Excel).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex topics for a wide audience.
Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with experience in compiling and managing large datasets.
Ability to work both autonomously on research projects and collaboratively within a team setting.
