Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Science (MSc) in Textile Technology
∎ Candidates with Master’s degree (Apparel Manufacturing / Textile Engineering or relevant subject) will be given preference over others.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 15 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Complete oversight of the Merchandising Day to day operations to drive business towards growth and meeting buyer OTD through early planning and efficient merchandising strategy.
∎ Ensure standardized costing and pricing of the garment are established through effective negotiations keeping best interests of the company at the formation stage of all contracts with Buyers/Suppliers.
∎ Lead achievement of cost targets and pricing structures in-line with recommendations of merchandising teams.
∎ Ensure Management approval is acquired prior to all costing and pricing decisions.
∎ Ensure merchandising initiative and guidance is in the form of partnership with relevant production stakeholders such as planning, RMG, supply chain and sample.
∎ Take accountability as Merchandising Head of ensuring implementation of CPA reduction strategies keeping Textile Head and RMG head aligned.
∎ Generate reports regarding market conditions and merchandising costs.
∎ Generate reports on evaluation of the latest fashion trends, buying patterns, and demographic target market's evaluation and make recommendations accordingly.
∎ Full accountability of meeting lead time of shipment in accordance with production capacity in order to meet OTD.
∎ Collaborate with Production ensuring idle cut to ship ratio and the quality of the products are met according to the lead time/as per buyers’ requirements.
∎ Supervise OTD based cut to ship ratio.
∎ Maximize “Plus” Shipment percentage and maintain ESF (Event status of Fast React) for on-time approval hit rate.
∎ Responsible to administer various audits such as buyer audit, compliance audit, factory visits etc.
∎ Ensure the duties and responsibilities of subordinates as vested on them are set to achieve the departmental KPI’s.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 40 to 45 years
∎ Must have at least 15 year (s) experience in Marketing & Merchandising or Apparel Sector.
