Job Context:
∎ Report to: Additional Managing Director
∎ Position Summary:
∎ We are looking for a self-motivated and result-driven General Manager, Operations to direct and manage our organization`s business activities and to develop and implement effective business strategies and programs. The noteworthy General Manager should account for all business activities, support staff development, enhance efficiency, drive sales and improve revenue, maintain relationships with clients, enhance the organization`s image, and meet overall growth objectives. The ideal candidate for this position has previous corporate management experience and a proven track record for effective team management and results-driven leadership.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ He meets with marketing team for future orders, present order status, and product costing and to discuss capacity status of the factory. He takes decision to accept any order or not when there is less margin.
∎ He handles production issues and when required he can directly contact to buyer for approval of variations.
∎ He does or reviews the Production planning, Material planning and machinery planning.
∎ He changes technical setting of the garment for the reduction of making cost and production friendly samples,
∎ He attends pre-production meeting and ensure that important points are discussed at meeting.
∎ He does follow up day to day production from each line and ensures that production units meet the production target.
∎ He does follow up industrial engineering functions and systems.
∎ He ensures that factory produces quality product at minimum alteration and repair cost. He ensures that only quality goods are shipped to the buyers.
∎ He plans shipment dispatch with documentation and shipping department.
∎ He checks manpower costing of each floor and try to keep manpower cost under control.
∎ He looks into things possible ways where production cost can be minimized and goes for it.
∎ He works closely with the Finance team, to prepare annual budgets, complete risk analysis on potential investments, and advise management with regard to investment risk and return. Also works closely with Human Resources team regarding hiring practices, payroll and benefit disbursement.
∎ To motivate employees and enrich their knowledge in certain areas training program is arranged by him.
∎ He ensures smooth flow of information and material from one department to another. He resolves inter-departmental issues if there is any.
∎ All other duties as directed by the Higher Management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 50 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum 5 years of experience in the similar position.
∎ Skills:
∎ Good understanding and experience in Knit and Woven Garment manufacturing.
∎ Excellent communication skills.
∎ Advanced skills in MS Office and professional accounting software.
∎ Strong ability to organize effectively, delegate responsibility, solve problems quickly and communicate clearly
∎ Leadership skills, including the ability to manage time effectively and handle both internal and external conflicts
∎ Meticulous attention to detail.
∎ Strong work ethic.
∎ Exceptional budgeting and finance skills.
∎ Skills Required : Related Field.
