Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Leadership and Strategic Planning:
∎ Develop and implement strategic plans, objectives, and policies for the mechanical department in alignment with the group's goals.
∎ Provide strong leadership and direction to the mechanical team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
∎ Drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimize mechanical processes, and enhance operational efficiency.
∎ 2. Mechanical Operations Management:
∎ Oversee the day-to-day mechanical operations of the group's industries, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
∎ Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to machinery performance, maintenance, and downtime, and take proactive measures to address issues.
∎ Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, production, and maintenance, to optimize workflow and maximize equipment uptime.
∎ 3. Equipment Maintenance and Reliability:
∎ Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs and schedules to minimize unplanned downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
∎ Coordinate and supervise the maintenance and repair activities, ensuring effective utilization of resources and timely resolution of mechanical issues.
∎ Implement predictive and preventive maintenance practices, leveraging advanced technologies and industry best practices.
∎ 4. Budgeting and Resource Management:
∎ Prepare and manage the mechanical department's budget, effectively allocating resources to support operational requirements and achieve financial targets.
∎ Identify and evaluate equipment and machinery needs, develop procurement strategies, and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure the timely acquisition of required assets and spare parts.
∎ Monitor expenses, analyze cost-saving opportunities, and implement measures to optimize resource utilization without compromising quality or safety.
∎ 5. Team Development and Performance:
∎ Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing mechanical team, fostering a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and continuous learning.
∎ Set performance expectations, provide regular feedback, conduct performance evaluations, and implement development plans to enhance individual and team capabilities.
∎ Promote a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and implementing appropriate safety training programs.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 40 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Proven experience of 12 years in a senior managerial role overseeing mechanical operations in a diverse industrial environment.
∎ Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and maintenance practices.
∎ Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
∎ Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
∎ Solid understanding of budgeting and financial management principles.
∎ Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and safety standards.
∎ Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
∎ Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement practical solutions.
∎ Job Location: Dhaka and frequent movement to factories in Gazipur.
